Sainj river
- A flood in the Sainj river has left many families homeless in Sainj under Banjar subdivision of Kullu district.The flooded river washed away 30 houses and 40 shops at Sainj on July 10, forcing residents to take refuge in temporary shelters.
- The V-shaped Sainj Valley rises from the lower ranges of the main Himalaya to the east of Kullu.
- The Sainj River flows past a series of interlocking spurs and widens as it travels southwest to join the River Beas at the small village of Larji.
सैंज नदी
- सैंज नदी में आई बाढ़ ने कुल्लू जिले के बंजार उपमंडल के अंतर्गत सैंज में कई परिवारों को बेघर कर दिया है। 10 जुलाई को सैंज में नदी की बाढ़ ने 30 घरों और 40 दुकानों को बहा दिया, जिससे निवासियों को अस्थायी आश्रयों में शरण लेने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा।
- वी-आकार की सैंज घाटी मुख्य हिमालय की निचली श्रृंखला से कुल्लू के पूर्व तक निकलती है।
- सैंज नदी इंटरलॉकिंग स्पर्स की एक श्रृंखला से होकर बहती है और लारजी के छोटे से गांव में ब्यास नदी में शामिल होने के लिए दक्षिण-पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ते हुए चौड़ी हो जाती है।
Zoological park, tiger safari to come up in Kangra
- The Central Zoo Authority (CZA) has given approval for setting up a world-class zoological park and a safari at Bankhandi in Kangra district.
- Around 195 hectares of forestland has already been demarcated for the park project and forest clearance will not be required for it.
- The proposal includes a tiger safari, besides bringing a host of other animals like various species of crocodiles.
- At present, there are only three zoos at Gopalpur in Kangra, Renukaji in Sirmaur and the Kufri Nature Park in Shimla.
कांगड़ा में जूलॉजिकल पार्क, टाइगर सफारी बनेगी
- केंद्रीय चिड़ियाघर प्राधिकरण (सीजेडए) ने कांगड़ा जिले के बनखंडी में एक विश्व स्तरीय प्राणी उद्यान और एक सफारी स्थापित करने की मंजूरी दे दी है।
- पार्क परियोजना के लिए लगभग 195 हेक्टेयर वनभूमि का पहले ही सीमांकन किया जा चुका है और इसके लिए वन मंजूरी की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी।
- इस प्रस्ताव में मगरमच्छों की विभिन्न प्रजातियों जैसे कई अन्य जानवरों को लाने के अलावा एक बाघ सफारी भी शामिल है।
- वर्तमान में, कांगड़ा के गोपालपुर, सिरमौर के रेणुकाजी और शिमला के कुफरी नेचर पार्क में केवल तीन चिड़ियाघर हैं।
