The government will revive the ancient heritage of Una
- Apart from the historical forts in Una district, in the 9th decade of the 20th century, man-made stone tools and ivory fossils of Neolithic age found in Garh Da Tibba and Paniyali Khads of Ispur village are paving the way for conservation and promotion of the government.
- In ancient times the district though had forts at Rajpura Akrot, Solasingi, Kotwalnah Una and Santoshgarh.
- Of these, except for Rajpura (the original capital of Jaswan State) and sixteen forts built on Singi Dhar, the rest are now barely surviving.
- Dohgi, situated on a fertile land in the lap of 3850 feet high Sola Singi Dhar, bordering Una and Hamirpur districts, the village was in ancient times the center of travel from the plains of Punjab to Kullu-Lahul and from there to Central Asia via Ladakh and Tibet. Historians believe that it was a stop on the trade route.
- Language and Culture Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the government will take effective steps to preserve the historical heritage in the state. Steps have been taken in the direction of preserving the Solahsingi Dhar forts as historical heritage in district Una.
ऊना की प्राचीन धरोहरों में जान फूंकेगी सरकार
- जिला ऊना में ऐतिहासिक किलों के अलावा 20वीं शताब्दी के नौंवे दशक में ईसपुर गांव के गढ़ दा टिब्बा व पनियाली खड्डों में मिले नवपाषाद युग के मानव द्वारा निर्मित पत्थर के औजार तथा हाथी दांत के जीवाश्म सरकार के संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन की राह बाट रहे है।
- प्राचीन समय में जिला में यद्यपि राजपुरा अकरोट, सोलासिंगी, कोटवालनाह ऊना और संतोषगढ़ में किले थे।
- इनमें से वर्तमान समय में राजपुरा (जसवां राज्य की मूल राजधानी)और सोलह सिंगी धार पर बने किलों को छोडक़र,बाकी तो अब नाममात्र को मुश्किल से बचे हैं।
- ऊना तथा हमीरपुर जिलों का सीमांकन करती 3850 फुट ऊंची सोला सिंगी धार की गोद में एक ऊपजाऊ भू-भाग पर बसा डोहगी, गांव पुराने वक्तों में पंजाब के मैदानी इलाकों से कुल्लू-लाहुल और वहां से लद्दाख और तिब्बत के रास्ते मध्य एशिया को जाने वाले व्यापारिक मार्ग का एक पड़ाव था, ऐसा इतिहासकारों का मानना है।
- भाषा एवं संस्कृति मंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने बताया कि राज्य में ऐतिहासिक धरोहरों के संरक्षण के लिए सरकार प्रभावी कदम उठाएगी। जिला ऊना में ऐतिहासिक धरोहर के रूप में सोलहसिंगी धार किलों को संरक्षित करने की दिशा मेंं कदम उठाए गए है।
