Himachal will promote 'lake tourism'
- To attract tourists in Himachal, the state government is going to promote lake tourism. Regarding this, the state government is working on an action plan to develop lake tourism around lakes and reservoirs.
- Pong Dam in Kangra District, Kol Dam Reservoir, Tattapani Hot Springs, Bhakra Reservoir in District Bilaspur, Larji Reservoir near Kullu-Manali and Chamera Dam Reservoir in Chamba provide water based tourism activities like house boat, cruise and yacht etc. operations will be promoted.
- Adventure tourism activities like water sports activities, fishing, bird watching, eco-tourism activities etc. would be linked to make the visit of tourists unforgettable in the state.
- Apart from this, the facility of arts and crafts centre, shopping arcade and food-street will also be provided, which will provide a good experience to the tourists.
- Kangra district administration has been instructed to identify suitable sites for making an artificial lake spread over one to two kilometers.
- 5.75 hectares of land has also been identified for setting up a wellness centre, an artificial lake with attractive waterfalls at Nagrota.
- A provision of Rs 70 crore has been made to promote adventure tourism activities at Pong Dam in district Kangra.
Uncertainty persists over Kullu’s Bhootnath bridge restoration
- People have lost hope for restoration of Bhootnath bridge, the targets for whose completion have been postponed several times during the last three years.
- The bridge is lying defunct for the past over four years.
- It is a 96-metre-long double-lane bridge over the Beas river at Bhoothnath in Kullu.
‘लेक टूरिज़्म’ को बढ़ावा देगा हिमाचल
- हिमाचल में पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करने के लिए प्रदेश सरकार लेक टूरिज़्म को बढ़ावा देने जा रही है। इसको लेकर प्रदेश सरकार की झीलों एवं जलाशयों के आस-पास लेक टूरिज़्म विकसीत करने की कार्य योजना पर काम कर रही है।
- ज़िला कांगड़ा के पौंग बांध, कोल डैम जलाशय, तत्तापानी के गर्म पानी के चश्मे, ज़िला बिलासपुर में भाखड़ा जलाशय, कुल्लू-मनाली के समीप लारजी जलाशय और चंबा में चमेरा बांध जलाशयों में जल आधारित पर्यटन गतिविधियों जैसे हाउस बोट, क्रूज़ और यॉच इत्यादि के संचालन को बढ़ावा प्रदान किया जाएगा।
- प्रदेश में पर्यटकों की यात्रा को अविस्मरणीय बनाने के लिए उन्हें जल क्रीड़ा गतिविधियां, मछली पकड़ने, पक्षी देखने, पर्यावरण-पर्यटन गतिविधियों आदि जैसी साहसिक पर्यटन गतिविधियों से जोड़ा जाएगा।
- इसके अतिरिक्त कला एवं शिल्प केंद्र, शॉपिंग आर्केड और फूड-स्ट्रीट की सुविधा भी प्रदान की जाएगी, जो पर्यटकों को एक अच्छा अनुभव प्रदान करेंगी।
- कांगड़ा जिला प्रशासन को एक से दो किलोमीटर तक फैली कृत्रिम झील बनाने के लिए उपयुक्त स्थलों की पहचान करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
- नगरोटा में एक वेलनेस सेंटर, आकर्षक झरनों के साथ एक कृत्रिम झील की स्थापना के लिए 5.75 हेक्टेयर भूमि की पहचान भी की गई है।
- ज़िला कांगड़ा के पौंग बांध में साहसिक पर्यटन गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 70 करोड़ रुपए का प्रावधान किया है।
कुल्लू के भूतनाथ पुल के जीर्णोद्धार को लेकर अनिश्चितता बरकरार
- भूतनाथ पुल के जीर्णोद्धार की उम्मीद लोग खो चुके हैं, जिसके पूरा होने का लक्ष्य पिछले तीन वर्षों के दौरान कई बार टाला जा चुका है।
- यह पुल पिछले चार वर्षों से ख़राब पड़ा हुआ है।
- यह कुल्लू के भूतनाथ में ब्यास नदी पर 96 मीटर लंबा डबल लेन पुल है।
