OICL AO Mains is the second phase of the Oriental Insurance Company exam. The mains exam is categorized into two parts Objective type and descriptive type. The objective type paper is of 200 marks and descriptive paper is of 30 marks. Reasoning Ability Questions Asked in OICL AO Mains 2017
- Seating Arrangement questions were based on Circular arrangement consisting of multiple variables and a linear seating arrangement was also asked.
- Puzzles There were 4 sets of Puzzles and Seating Arrangement Questions.
- (a) One was a Circular arrangement with 4 people facing inside, who were watching animals and 4 people facing outside, who were watching birds.
- (b) Another one was a linear arrangement in which people were sitting in a row and the number of people was not specified.
- (c) Scheduling based puzzle of Monday to Sunday, with 3 fruits as an additional parameter.
- (d) Age-based puzzle
- Syllogism was in the old pattern and it was easy but time consuming since all were in the possibility type. Mostly this reasoning section will fetch more marks for the candidates if they have attended more than 30 questions.
English Language Questions Asked in OICL AO Mains 2017
- Reading Comprehension was included 04 questions from Synonyms/ Antonyms as well. The passage was based on Insurance in India.
- Error Spotting – It was asked in a new way. 5 Sentences were given & you have to find the grammatically correct sentence. More than one sentence may also be correct.
- Sentence Improvement – Two sentence were given. some part of the sentences was highlighted in bold. Then it was asked that the bold part of:
- a) Sentence I requires replacement
- b) Sentence II requires replacement
- c) both sentence requires replacement
- d) neither Sentence I nor II requires replacement
- Cloze Test – Based on Insurance. It was totally vocabulary based.
