Hattee community gets ST status
- Hattee Community, with over 2.53 lakh population of Trans Giri tract (GIRIPAR) in Sirmaur district, has been finally granted Schedule Tribe status after a long drawn battle.
- The battle took off slightly late as Girirpar areas ought to have got the ST status in 56 years back itself when Bawar-Jaunsar hills of the then Uttar Pradesh and now Uttarakhand were declared tribal by the Union Government.
- Historical facts and current circumstances reveal that villagers of Girirpar were deprived of their right despite the fact that their traditions, primitive culture of polyandry and ancient type of festivals, economic backwardness, illiteracy, etc. were identical to their brethren who got a privileged ST status in 1967.
- Hattees are a close-knit community and derive their name from the tradition of selling homegrown vegetables, crops, meat, wool etc. at small markets.
हाटी समुदाय को एसटी का दर्जा मिला
- सिरमौर जिले के ट्रांस गिरी पथ (गिरिपार) की 2.53 लाख से अधिक आबादी वाले हाटी समुदाय को लंबी लड़ाई के बाद आखिरकार अनुसूचित जनजाति का दर्जा दिया गया है।
- लड़ाई थोड़ी देर से शुरू हुई क्योंकि गिरिपार इलाकों को 56 साल पहले ही एसटी का दर्जा मिल जाना चाहिए था, जब तत्कालीन उत्तर प्रदेश और अब उत्तराखंड की बावर-जौनसार पहाड़ियों को केंद्र सरकार द्वारा आदिवासी घोषित किया गया था।
- ऐतिहासिक तथ्यों और वर्तमान परिस्थितियों से पता चलता है कि गिरिपार के ग्रामीण इस तथ्य के बावजूद अपने अधिकार से वंचित थे कि उनकी परंपराएं, बहुपतित्व की आदिम संस्कृति और प्राचीन प्रकार के त्योहार, आर्थिक पिछड़ापन, अशिक्षा आदि उनके भाइयों के समान थे जिन्हें विशेषाधिकार प्राप्त एसटी का दर्जा मिला था। 1967 में.

Baridhar to be developed as tourist site
- The famous religious site of Baridhar in Arki sub-division of Solan would be developed as a tourist spot.
- A master plan has been prepared to develop Baridhar as a key religious pilgrimage centre where a ropeway would be set up from Svava village to Baridhar. The detailed project report of this ropeway was being prepared.
- It is said that the Pandava spent the last year of their exile at this place in the caves of the hill and forest.
- A temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is also situated here and local people call him BaraDev.
बारीधार को पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में विकसित किया जाएगा
- सोलन के अर्की उपमंडल के प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक स्थल बारीधार को पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में विकसित किया जाएगा।
- बारीधार को एक प्रमुख धार्मिक तीर्थस्थल के रूप में विकसित करने के लिए एक मास्टर प्लान तैयार किया गया है, जहां स्वावा गांव से बारीधार तक एक रोपवे स्थापित किया जाएगा। इस रोपवे की विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट तैयार की जा रही थी।
- ऐसा कहा जाता है कि पांडवों ने अपने वनवास का अंतिम वर्ष इसी स्थान पर पहाड़ी और जंगल की गुफाओं में बिताया था।
- भगवान शिव को समर्पित एक मंदिर भी यहाँ स्थित है और स्थानीय लोग उन्हें बारादेव कहते हैं।
Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana
- The Himachal Pradesh government has notified the Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana that aims to expand the green cover of the state through integrated site-specific afforestation by including 250 hectares of the barren areas under plantation in various hills and mountains in the first phase during the financial year 2023-24.
- For this purpose, a task force has also been notified with principal chief conservator of forest as the team leader.
- to prevent soil erosion, excessive runoff on degraded and refractory hill slopes, and
- provide forest ecosystem and livelihood opportunity to the local population in those areas which are devoid of forest cover in vicinity.
मुख्यमंत्री वन विस्तार योजना
- हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार ने मुख्यमंत्री वन विस्तार योजना को अधिसूचित किया है जिसका उद्देश्य वित्तीय वर्ष के दौरान पहले चरण में विभिन्न पहाड़ियों और पहाड़ों में वृक्षारोपण के तहत 250 हेक्टेयर बंजर क्षेत्रों को शामिल करके एकीकृत साइट-विशिष्ट वनीकरण के माध्यम से राज्य के हरित आवरण का विस्तार करना है। 2023-24.
- इस प्रयोजन के लिए एक टास्क फोर्स भी अधिसूचित की गई है, जिसमें प्रधान मुख्य वन संरक्षक को टीम लीडर बनाया जाएगा।
- मिट्टी के कटाव, ख़राब और दुर्दम्य पहाड़ी ढलानों पर अत्यधिक अपवाह को रोकने के लिए, और
- उन क्षेत्रों में स्थानीय आबादी को वन पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र और आजीविका के अवसर प्रदान करना जो आसपास के क्षेत्र में वन आवरण से रहित हैं।
Nalagarh Fort suffers damage due to rain
- 4 out of 35 guest rooms of around 600-year-old collapsed at Nalagarh in Solan following heavy rain.
- Constructed in 1421 during the reign of Raja Bikram Chand, who represented the Chand dynasty of Himachal Pradesh, the resort is located on a hilltop.
- A luxury resort is being run in the fort since 1995.
