E-HIM Agriculture Portal
- Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University has launched E-Him Agriculture Portal.
- Through the Bioinformatics Center, Department of Biotechnology, the e-Him Krishi Portal has been provided with solutions to problems related to agriculture and other information.
- In this portal, certified information about the varieties of various crops has been made available on the 'Digital Platform' in collaboration with the Director, Directorate of Extension Education and Directorate of Research.
- Farmers can get their agriculture-related information and solutions to their problems by connecting directly to the internet. The Institute's approved variety of crops having GI tag with Geographical Index and names of ten specific products developed database contains about 9200 SSR primers like kulfi.
- Also, it has been designed to list information about the medicinal plants of the state. In this, the Bioinformatics Center has also developed Primer Search Tool.
- These databases have been developed as an initiative to organize and preserve information for the scientific community. This portal has been created for creating awareness, wide dissemination of scientific achievements and to identify future research potential areas.
Himachal's first woman DGP Satwant Atwal Trivedi
- 1996 batch IPS officer Satwant Atwal Trivedi will now be the first woman DGP of Himachal Pradesh.
- After going on leave DGP Sanjay Kundu, the state government has given him the additional charge of DGP.
- Satwant Atwal Trivedi has the distinction of being the first IPS officer of Himachal as well as the first woman officer of NIA and BSF.

- Hailing from Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, IPS officer Satwant Atwal Trivedi has studied at St.Beed's College in Shimla and Auckland House School.
- The credit for registering online complaints of crimes related to women in Himachal and opening separate police stations for women also goes to Atwal.
- He has also to his credit a rich saga of meritorious services as a police officer in various capacities in his cadre of Himachal Pradesh as well as other prestigious police organizations.
- He successfully launched India's first Artificial Intelligence implementation in the Border Security Force.
- He is a Gold Medalist in Clinical Psychology
- Also holds Diploma in Investigation and Leadership from the FBI National Academy in German, Department of Justice, USA.
- He has served in the National Police Academy. Faculty at National Police Academy has commanded a District Police Armed Battalion at the rank of SP.
- Before returning to the home cadre, she was heading the Intelligence Directorate of the Border Security Force.
- Along with this, she was also the joint secretary of Hranjatrakradhshtha.
- He has also been awarded the prestigious Police Medal for Meritorious Service in the year 2012.
ई-हिम कृषि पोर्टल
- हिमाचल प्रदेश कृषि विश्वविद्यालय ने ई-हिम कृषि पोर्टल लांच किया है।
- बायोइन्फरमेटिक्स केंद्र, जैव प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग के माध्यम से ई हिम कृषि पोर्टल में कृषि संबंधित समस्याओं के निवारण एवं अन्य जानकारी प्रदान की गई है।
- इस पोर्टल में निदेशक प्रसार शिक्षा निदेशालय और अनुसंधान निदेशालय के सहयोग से विभिन्न फसलों की किस्मों के बारे में प्रमाणित जानकारी, ‘डिजिटल प्लेटफोर्म’ पर उपलब्ध करवाई गई है।
- किसान सीधे इंटरनेट से जुडक़र अपनी कृषि संबंधित जानकारी एवं समस्याओं के समाधान प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। भौगोलिक सूचकांक के साथ जीआई टैग प्राप्त संस्थान की अनुमोदित विभिन्न फसलों की किस्मों की जानकारी और दस विशिष्ट उत्पादों का विकसित डाटाबेस के नाम जैसे कुल्थी के लगभग 9200 एसएसआर प्राइमर शामिल हैं।
- साथ ही इसे प्रदेश के औषधीय पौधों के बारे में जानकारी सूचीबद्ध करने के लक्ष्य के साथ डिजाइन किया गया है। इसमें बायोइन्फरमेटिक्स केंद्र ने प्राइमर सर्च टूल को भी विकसित किया है।
- इन डाटाबेस को वैज्ञानिक समुदाय के लिए जानकारी संगठित और संरक्षित करने हेतु एक पहल के रूप में विकसित किया है। इस पोर्टल का निर्माण जागरूकता पैदा करने, वैज्ञानिक उपलब्धियों का व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार एवं भविष्य में अनुसंधान संभावित क्षेत्रों की पहचान करने के लिए किया गया है।
हिमाचल की पहली महिला DGP सतवंत अटवाल त्रिवेदी
- 1996 बैच की आईपीएस अधिकारी सतवंत अटवाल त्रिवेदी अब हिमाचल प्रदेश की प्रथम महिला डीजीपी होंगी।
- डीजीपी संजय कुंडू के छुट्टी पर जाने के बाद प्रदेश सरकार ने उन्हें डीजीपी का अतिरिक्त कार्यभार सौंपा है।
- सतवंत अटवाल त्रिवेदी को हिमाचल की पहली आईपीएस होने के साथ-साथ एनआईए और बीएसएफ की पहली महिला अधिकारी होने का गौरव भी प्राप्त है।

- हिमाचल प्रदेश के बिलासपुर जिला से ताल्लुक रखने वाली आईपीएस अधिकारी सतवंत अटवाल त्रिवेदी ने शिमला के सेंट बीड्स कॉलेज और ऑकलैंड हाउस स्कूल में शिक्षा ग्रहण की है।
- हिमाचल में महिलाओं से जुड़े अपराध की ऑनलाइन शिकायत दर्ज करने व महिलाओं के लिए अलग थाने खोलने का श्रेय भी अटवाल को ही जाता है।
- उन्होंने हिमाचल प्रदेश के अपने कैडर के साथ-साथ अन्य प्रतिष्ठित पुलिस संगठनों के विभिन्न पदों पर एक पुलिस अधिकारी के रूप में सराहनीय सेवाओं की एक समृद्ध गाथा को भी लिखा है।
- उन्होंने सीमा सुरक्षा बल में भारत के पहले आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस कार्यान्वयन को सफलतापूर्वक शुरू किया।
- वह क्लिनिकल साइकोलॉजी में स्वर्ण पदक विजेता हैं
- जर्मन में एफबीआई नेशनल एकेडमी, डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ जस्टिस, यूएसए से डिप्लोमा इन इन्वेस्टिगेशन एंड लीडरशिप भी प्राप्त किया हुआ है।
- उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय पुलिस अकादमी में सेवा प्रदान की है। राष्ट्रीय पुलिस अकादमी में संकाय, एसपी रैंक पर जिला पुलिस सशस्त्र बटालियन का नेतृत्व कर चुकी है।
- होम कैडर में लौटने से पहले वो सीमा सुरक्षा बल के खुफिया निदेशालय का नेतृत्व कर रही थी
- साथ ही हृ्रञ्जत्रक्रढ्ढष्ठ की संयुक्त सचिव भी थी।
- उन्हें वर्ष 2012 में सराहनीय सेवा के लिए प्रतिष्ठित पुलिस पदक से भी सम्मानित किया जा चुका है।
