Kangra Valley Carnival
- National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Kangra Valley Carnival is participating in the festival with its 'Shilp Bazaar' featuring the work of 32 talented artisans of the state as part of its Craft Cluster initiative.
- An exhibition of Kangra tea and Sea Buckthorn tea, which gives fragrance and freshness, was also organized in the carnival.
- The carnival featured a variety of home-made jams and an assortment of herbs, which are renowned for their medicinal properties and culinary uses.
- Regin Chhodan, a resident of Tingret, Lahul, said, “In my participation in the Kangra Valley Carnival, I proudly present my range of herbal seabuckthorn tea and jams. He highlighted the benefits of cultivating seabuckthorn plants.
- The Craft Cluster initiative by NIFT aims to not only revive and promote traditional crafts, but also focus on sustainable practices and empowering local artisans. By providing them a platform to showcase their work, NIFT strives to create market linkages and enable artisans to earn a fair income while preserving their rich cultural heritage.
HP partners with NDDB to set up milk processing unit
- Himachal Pradesh will establish Rs 250 Crore Milk Processing Plant in collaboration with National Dairy Development Board in Dagwar in Kangra district.
- The capacity of Dagwar plant would range from one lakh to three lakh litres, in which high-quality products of milk would also be prepared
कांगड़ा घाटी कार्निवल
- राष्ट्रीय फैशन प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (निफ्ट) कांगड़ा घाटी कार्निवल अपने क्राफ्ट क्लस्टर पहल के हिस्से के रूप में प्रदेश के 32 प्रतिभाशाली कारीगरों के काम की विशेषता वाले अपने ‘शिल्प बाजार’ के साथ उत्सव में भाग ले रहा है।
- कार्निवल में खुशबू और ताजगी देने वाली कांगड़ा चाय और सी बकथॉर्न चाय की प्रदर्शनी भी लगाई गई,
- कार्निवल में घर में तैयार किए गए विभिन्न प्रकार के जैम और जड़ी-बूटियों का वर्गीकरण दिखाया गया, जो अपने औषधीय गुणों और पाक उपयोगों के लिए प्रसिद्ध हैं।
- लाहुल के तिंग्रेट की निवासी रेजिन छोदन ने कहा कि कांगड़ा वैली कार्निवल में अपनी भागीदारी में मैंने गर्व से हर्बल सीबकथॉर्न चाय और जैम की अपनी रेंज पेश की। उन्होंने सीबकथॉर्न पौधों की खेती के लाभों पर प्रकाश डाला।
- निफ्ट द्वारा क्राफ्ट क्लस्टर पहल का उद्देश्य न केवल पारंपरिक शिल्प को पुनर्जीवित करना और बढ़ावा देना है, बल्कि स्थायी प्रथाओं और स्थानीय कारीगरों को सशक्त बनाने पर भी ध्यान केंद्रित करना है। उन्हें अपने काम को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए एक मंच प्रदान करके, निफ्ट बाजार से जुड़ाव बनाने और कारीगरों को उनकी समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत को संरक्षित करते हुए उचित आय अर्जित करने में सक्षम बनाने का प्रयास करता है।
एचपी ने दूध प्रसंस्करण इकाई स्थापित करने के लिए एनडीडीबी के साथ साझेदारी की
- हिमाचल प्रदेश कांगड़ा जिले के डगवार में राष्ट्रीय डेयरी विकास बोर्ड के सहयोग से 250 करोड़ रुपये का दूध प्रसंस्करण संयंत्र स्थापित करेगा।
- डगवार प्लांट की क्षमता एक लाख से तीन लाख लीटर तक होगी, जिसमें दूध के उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले उत्पाद भी तैयार किये जायेंगे.
