चांसल दर्रा, या चंचल घाटी
- चांसल दर्रा, या चंचल घाटी भारतीय राज्य हिमाचल प्रदेश के शिमला जिले में डोडरा क्वार और रोहड़ू को जोड़ती है।
- दर्रा चांसल चोटी के ऊपर बैठता है, जो 4,520 मीटर (14,830 फीट) की ऊंचाई पर शिमला जिले की सबसे ऊंची चोटी है।
- दर्रा मई से नवंबर तक खुला रहता है और शेष वर्ष के लिए बर्फ से ढका रहता है।
- चांशल एक पर्वत श्रृंखला है जो रोहड़ू क्षेत्र से डोडरा कवार घाटी को काटती है। इसकी चोटियाँ 17,000 फीट (5,200 मीटर) तक पहुँचती हैं और चांशल दर्रे से पहुँचा जा सकता है।
Chanshal pass receives snow
- The Chanshal Pass, or Chanshal Valley links Dodra Kwar and Rohru in the Shimla district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
- The pass sits atop Chanshal Peak, which at 4,520 metres (14,830 ft) is the highest peak in the Shimla district.
- The pass remains open from May to November and is covered with snow for the rest of the year.
- Chanshal is a mountain range that cuts the Dodra Kawar Valley from the Rohru area. Its peaks reach 17,000 feet (5,200 m) and can be accessed from Chanshal Pass.
