AFCAT 2019 Recruitment: Educational Qualification

The board has prescribed the educational qualification for AFCAT Jobs.

For Flying Branch:

Aspirants should possess a Graduate (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)/BE/B Tech (Four Year Course).

For Ground Duty Branch (Technical & Non-Technical):

Graduate Degree (Minimum three-year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years

AFCAT Recruitment 2019: Selection Procedure

The Indian Air Force Recruitment Board will conduct the selection process based on

1. Stage I Testing:
  • Officer Intelligence Rating Test.
  • Picture perception and Discussion Test.
2. Stage II Testing:
  • Psychological Tests are written tests that are conducted by a Psychologist.
  • Group Tests are interactive indoor and outdoor activities which are a combination of mental and physical work.
  • The interview involves a personal conversation with an Interviewing Officer.
  • Candidates who have applied for a flying branch and have been recommended will also have to undergo a Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test.
