AFCAT 02/2019 Notification Out: 242 Posts (Apply Online)
Indian Air Force has released AFCAT 02/2019 Notification for Recruitment in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. NCC Special Entry/ Meteorology Entry for courses commencing in July 2020.

Note: There is no intake conducted for logistics & Accounts Branch in AFCAT 02/2019 for course commencing on July 2020
Types of AFCAT 02/2019 Commission:
1. PC for Men:- Candidates joining as officers of the PC would continue to serve their branch and rank until the age of retirement.
- The commitment period for SSC officers of the Flying Branch is fourteen years from the commissioning date (Non-extendable).
- The initial tenure in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches for SSC officers would be for a ten-year period. Subject to service requirements, vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit, an extension of four years may be granted.
Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 02/2019:
1. Flying Branch:- The age limit is 20 to 24 years as of 01 July 2020, i.e. between 02 July 1996 and 01 July 2000 (including both dates). The upper age limit for applicants holding a valid and current DGCA (India) Commercial Pilot License is relaxed up to 26 years, i.e. born between 02 July 1994 and 01 July 2000 (both dates included).
- The age limit is 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2020 i.e. born between 02 July 1994 to 01 Jun 2000 (both dates included).
