IBPS PO Prelims 2018 Exam Pattern

This Year IBPS has introduced the sectional timing in prelims exam following the footprint of SBI. Therefore it is expected that the difficulty level of IBPS PO Prelims Paper will also be somehow similar to SBI PO. Due to the introduction of sectional timing students will not be able to switch between the sections.

Quantitative Aptitude Analysis for IBPS PO Prelims Exam 14 October 2018 - Slot 2

This shift of Quantitative Aptitude section in the was difficult. In the first shift there were only two sets of data interpretation but in the second shift there were three: Line Graph, Caselet and Tabular DI. Line graph Data Interpretation was do-able whereas the other two sets were lengthy.Quadratic equation and Quantity Based questions were not asked in this shift. 

1. Data Interpretation -  Line Graph and Tabular Arrangement was asked in the exam. It was calculative and indirect questions were asked.
   • Line DI was based on data of persons going to Zumba and yoga classes.
   • In table D.I, CP and SP of different things A to E was given.

English Analysis for IBPS PO Prelims Exam 14 October 2018 - Slot 2

As expected, English Language section was twisted & the level of paper was Moderate to Difficult compared to the other two sections asked in IBPS PO Prelims.
Questions asked in comparison with the previous shift. In this shift there were around 5 question of match the following type similar to the one asked in English Language Section of SBI PO Pre 2018.

• Reading Comprehension - 2 RC were there having 5 questions in each one.
  • First RC was based on the topic of South Africa Economy 
  • Second RC was based on type of people. 
  • 2 questions were from the vocabulary. The theme of the passage was asked.
• Cloze test - 5 Qs.
• Single Filter - 5 Qs.
• Reading Comprehension - 6 Qs.
• Sentence Rearrangements - 4 Qs.
• Word Replacement - 5 Qs.
• Papa Jumble - 4 Qs. 06 sentences need to be arranged. Topic: Competition Coaching

Reasoning Ability Analysis for IBPS PO Prelims Exam 14 October 2018 - Slot 2

The level of Reasoning Ability section asked in IBPS PO Prelims 2018 was Moderate. Coding decoding, Inequality was not asked in this shift

1. Puzzles & Seating Arrangement - 20 Questions - 04 puzzles were asked.
1. The box-based puzzle was asked. 9 boxes were there.
2. Month based puzzle was there. 3 months and 9 persons need to be arranged.
3. The linear arrangement was there in which 5 persons were seating in the north direction and the colour they like was also given.
4. A circular arrangement was there in which 6 persons were facing centre and the number of matches they play were arranged.
