Questions in this section were asked from following topics -
- There were 3 questions from Data Sufficiency, with 3 statements.
- 3 Questions from Input Output, based on new pattern. This question was quite hard.
- Almost 10 - 15 questions from Logical Reasoning. This also involves approximately 5 questions from decision making based problems.
- 3-4 Coded Questions, for instance (@ means 3m to south, P@Q)
- There were many questions from linear arrangement. There was 1 question with all people sitting in a single row facing south, another with people sitting in 2 separate rows and distance between them was given.
- Another arrangement was box/ square based where people in the smaller box/ square were facing inside and the ones in big box/square were facing outside.

Overall level of this section - Difficult
Following questions were asked from this section -
- 1 set of double pie chart based on Boats and Streams.
- 2 Missing DI sets, one was based on Profit and Loss and the other was based on Time and Work.
- 1 set of Caselet DI
- 5 Questions from Data Sufficiency
- 5 Questions from Quantity based problems (Mathematical inequality).

Overall level of this section - Moderate to Difficult
Pattern of English Language was quite different. Questions from following topics were asked in this section -
- 2 sets of Reading Comprehension, containing 5 questions each. One RC was based on German economy.
- Questions were also asked from Double Fillers and Spotting Errors. Few questions involved errors in phrases.
- There were 2 para jumbles where first and last sentences were given.

This section involved 2 questions, Letter and Essay Writing. Following topics of Essay and Letter writing were asked under Descriptive Test of SBI PO Mains exam 2017 –
Letter Writing (150 words)
- a) Write a letter to your branch manager as you've deposited some amount but it is still not credited into your account
- b) Write a letter to editor expressing your concern over impact of irrelevant news through socia media
- c) Write a letter to your sibling giving them advise related to stress and anxiety.
Essay Writing (150 words)
- a) Write an essay on the positive and negative impact of technology.
- b) Write an essay on effect of social media and its consequences on our population.
