The notification for the post of Indian Bank Probationary Officer was released by Indian Bank  was released this month. Here, we are sharing the exam details, pattern and expected syllabus for this exam.

Exam Details of Indian Bank Probationary Officer  

Total Vacancies	324
Course Structure	Course involves one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB). This includes - (a) Nine month Course (Campus programme) at Manipal Global Education Services, Bangalore. (b) Three months internship at any of the Indian Bank Branches.
Last date for online registration and payment of fees	22nd December 2016
Date of Preliminary Online Exam	22nd January 2017
Date of Mains Online Exam	28th February 2017
Selection Procedure	(a) Preliminary Exam (b) Mains (Objective + Descriptive) (c) Interview
Course Fees	Total fees of the course is Rs.3,50,000 plus service taxes(all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc). The Bank will extend its Educational Loan facility to all the selected candidates on the terms and conditions as applicable to Educational Loan Scheme of the Bank.

• All papers except English Language and Descriptive Test will be available  bilingually.

• Descriptive Papers of only those students will be evaluated who qualify the mains exam.

• Candidates have to clear both sectional as well as overall cutoff in Preliminary as well as Mains Exam.

General Awareness	Questions will be asked mainly from the Current Affairs & Banking Awareness topics (For instance, you may come across questions related to demonetisation) This section may also include questions on  Books & authors, Currencies, Important Places, Awards, Headquarters, Prime Ministers Schemes, Important Days  etc. It would be advisable to go through the GK updates of at least last 3 - 4 months. Do not forget to prepare for static GK part as well, especially the countries, their capitals and currencies (Try to focus especially on the countries that have been in news lately, for instance, the countries visited by our Prime Minister or President or with whom any major MoU has been signed).
