Strengthening Rural Economy And SHGs
The state government of Himachal Pradesh has introduced various welfare schemes with a specific focus on strengthening of the rural economy, in order to ensure inclusive governance.
Key Points:
- Taking a step in the direction, an ambitious scheme Mukhya Mantri Ek Bigha Yojana (MMEBY) was introduced by the state government.
- According to the official data, the state government has claimed that 17,292 people have availed the benefit of the welfare scheme, that was launched in the state for strengthening the economy of rural women and self-help groups by connecting them with livelihood activities.
- Under this scheme, people residing in rural areas are being encouraged for kitchen gardening under this scheme, in convergence with MNREGA and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
- According to the concerned officials, Rs 41.87 crore has been spent so far in the state after the introduction of the scheme, and various livelihood alternatives have been created for the disadvantaged groups.
- Women of self-help groups across the state have started kitchen gardening and cultivation of cash crops through MMEBY and have started selling the produce in the open market to earn good profits.
- According to senior government officials, works like land development, nursery production, fruits and vegetable plantation, construction of vermicompost pit and Azola pit, construction of irrigation, water harvesting structures and cowsheds are also being done under Mukhya Mantri Ek Bigha Yojana.
- In Bilaspur district, Rs 37.34 lakh has been provided to 309 beneficiaries; in Chamba district Rs 118.43 lakh has been provided to 355 beneficiaries; in Hamirpur district Rs 146.37 lakh to 928 beneficiaries; in Kangra district, Rs 304.10 lakh to 1792 beneficiaries, and in Kinnaur district Rs 4.44 lakh has been dispatched to 41 beneficiaries.

ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था और स्वयं सहायता समूहों को मजबूत बनाना
हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य सरकार ने समावेशी शासन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूत करने पर विशेष ध्यान देने के साथ विभिन्न कल्याणकारी योजनाएं शुरू की हैं।
प्रमुख बिंदु:
- इस दिशा में एक कदम बढ़ाते हुए राज्य सरकार द्वारा एक महत्वाकांक्षी योजना मुख्यमंत्री एक बीघा योजना (एमएमईबीवाई) शुरू की गई।
- आधिकारिक आंकड़ों के अनुसार, राज्य सरकार ने दावा किया है कि ग्रामीण महिलाओं और स्वयं सहायता समूहों को आजीविका गतिविधियों से जोड़कर उनकी अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूत करने के लिए राज्य में शुरू की गई कल्याणकारी योजना का लाभ 17,292 लोगों ने उठाया है।
- इस योजना के तहत मनरेगा और स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के समन्वय से इस योजना के तहत ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोगों को किचन गार्डनिंग के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है। संबंधित अधिकारियों के अनुसार, राज्य में अब तक 41.87 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए जा चुके हैं।
- योजना की शुरुआत के बाद वंचित समूहों के लिए आजीविका के विभिन्न विकल्प तैयार किए गए हैं। राज्य भर में स्वयं सहायता समूहों की महिलाओं ने एमएमईबीवाई के माध्यम से किचन गार्डनिंग और नकदी फसलों की खेती शुरू की है और अच्छा मुनाफा कमाने के लिए खुले बाजार में उपज बेचना शुरू कर दिया है।
- वरिष्ठ सरकारी अधिकारियों के अनुसार, भूमि विकास, नर्सरी उत्पादन, फल और मुख्यमंत्री एक बीघा योजना के तहत सब्जियों का रोपण, वर्मी कम्पोस्ट पिट और अजोला पिट का निर्माण, सिंचाई, जल संचयन संरचनाओं और गौशालाओं का निर्माण भी किया जा रहा है।

Approval granted to Chamba-Chowari tunnel DPR
- The Himachal Government has accorded approval to the detailed project report (DPR) of the proposed Chamba-Chowari tunnel beneath Jot Pass.
- The Chamba-Chuwari tunnel would provide a better opportunity to the Aspirational Chamba district and give it a much-needed fillip in terms of development activities besides empowering people economically.
ABOUT JOT PASS
- Jot Pass stands at a height of 2880 meters above the sea level.
- Jot Pass overlooks the Chuwadi Valley and it is 23 kilometers away from the top of the Pass.
- Jot is one of the highest altitude tourist destinations in Chamba and is located on the Pathankot-Nurpur-Chowari-Chamba stretch.
चंबा-चौरी सुरंग डीपीआर को मंजूरी
- हिमाचल सरकार ने जोत दर्रे के नीचे प्रस्तावित चंबा-चौवारी सुरंग की विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट (डीपीआर) को मंजूरी दे दी है।
- चंबा-चुवाड़ी सुरंग आकांक्षी चंबा जिले को एक बेहतर अवसर प्रदान करेगी और लोगों को आर्थिक रूप से सशक्त बनाने के अलावा विकास गतिविधियों के मामले में इसे बहुत जरूरी प्रोत्साहन देगी।
जोट पास के बारे में
- जोत दर्रा समुद्र तल से 2880 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है।
- जोत दर्रा चुवाड़ी घाटी को देखता है और यह दर्रे के शीर्ष से 23 किलोमीटर दूर है।
- जोत चंबा में सबसे अधिक ऊंचाई वाले पर्यटन स्थलों में से एक है और पठानकोट-नूरपुर-चौरी-चंबा खंड पर स्थित है।
