गरली-परागपुर के आईपीएस अधिकारी प्रवीण सूद CBI के नए निदेशक।
- हिमाचल प्रदेश के कांगड़ा जिला की धरोहर नगरी गरली-परागपुर के आईपीएस अधिकारी प्रवीण सूद सेंट्रल ब्यूरो ऑफ इन्वेस्टिगेशन (सीबीआई) के नए डायरेक्टर नियुक्त किए गए हैं।
- वर्तमान में कर्नाटक के पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी) प्रवीण सूद 1986 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी प्रवीण सूद दो साल तक इस पद पर रहेंगे।
- सीबीआई के मौजूदा डायरेक्टर सुबोध कुमार जायसवाल का कार्यकाल 25 मई को समाप्त हो रहा है। इसी दिन प्रवीण सूद ज्वाइन कर सकते हैं। उनकी रिटायरमेंट की तारीख 31 मई, 2024 है। उन्हें सीबीआई डायरेक्टर बनाने जाने के बाद उनका कार्यकाल मई 2025 तक फिक्स किया गया है।
- सीबीआई के नए निदेशक की नियुक्ति के लिए शनिवार को सिलेक्शन कमेटी की मीटिंग हुई थी, जिसमें तीन नाम शार्टलिस्ट किए गए थे। इसमें प्रवीण सूद के अलावा मध्य प्रदेश के आईपीएस सुधीर सक्सेना और सीनियर आईपीएस ताज हासन का नाम शामिल था।
22 साल की उम्र में बन गए थे आईपीएस
- धरोहर नगरी गरली-परागपुर के प्रवीण सूद के पिता ओम प्रकाश सूद दिल्ली सरकार में क्लर्क थे, जबकि मां कमलेश सूद दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूल की टीचर थीं।
- सूद की स्कूलिंग दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूल से हुई। इसके बाद उन्होंने आईआईटी दिल्ली से इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग में बीटेक किया।
- 1986 में वह 22 साल की उम्र में आईपीएस बने। उन्हें कर्नाटक कैडर मिला। पुलिस सर्विस के शुरुआती दौर में वे बेल्लारी और रायचुर में एसपी रहे।
- इसके अलावा बंगलुरु और मैसूरु में वे डीसीपी भी रहे।
- 2002 में उन्हें पुलिस पदक और 2011 में विशिष्ट सेवा के लिए राष्ट्रपति की तरफ से पुलिस पदक दिया गया था।
- जून 2020 में प्रवीण सूद कर्नाटक के डीजीपी बनाए गए थे।
हिमाचल में जुलाई से शुरू होगी हिम परिवार परियोजना।
- सीएम सुक्खू ने कहा कि जुलाई 2023 से प्रदेश सरकार हिम परिवार परियोजना आरंभ करेगी।
- हिम परिवार परियोजना के माध्यम से विशिष्ट पहचान वाले परिवार के राशन कार्ड, परिवार रजिस्टर, विद्युत, पेयजल जैसी आवश्यक सुविधाओं की जानकारी एक क्लिक पर उपलब्ध होगी।
- ‘नॉलेज पार्टनर’ के रूप में इंडियन स्कूल ऑफ बिजनेस हिमाचल डाटा पोर्टल को और लाभदायक एवं उपयोगी बनाने में सहयोग करेगा ताकि प्रदेश के 72 लाख लोगों के जीवन में आशातीत परिवर्तन लाया जा सके।
- सीएम सुक्खू ने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार तथा इंडियन स्कूल ऑफ बिजनेस शिक्षा, सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी, वन तथा शासन के क्षेत्रों में मिलकर कार्य करेंगे।
Garli-Paragpur IPS officer Praveen Sood is the new director of CBI.
- Praveen Sood, an IPS officer from Garli-Paragpur, a heritage town in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the new director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
- Presently the Director General of Police (DGP) of Karnataka, Praveen Sood, a 1986 batch IPS officer, will hold the post for two years.
- The tenure of the current CBI director Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is ending on May 25. Praveen Sood can join on this very day. His retirement date is May 31, 2024. After making him the CBI director, his tenure has been fixed till May 2025.
- A meeting of the selection committee was held on Saturday to appoint the new CBI director, in which three names were shortlisted. Apart from Praveen Sood, the names of Madhya Pradesh IPS Sudhir Saxena and senior IPS Taj Haasan were included in this.
Became IPS at the age of 22
- Praveen Sood's father Om Prakash Sood was a clerk in the Delhi government, while mother Kamlesh Sood was a teacher in Delhi's government school.
- Sood did his schooling from a government school in Delhi. After this he did B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi.
- He became IPS in 1986 at the age of 22. He got Karnataka cadre. In the initial phase of police service, he was SP in Bellary and Raichur.
- Apart from this, he was also DCP in Bangalore and Mysuru.
- He was awarded the Police Medal in 2002 and the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2011.
- In June 2020, Praveen Sood was made the DGP of Karnataka.
Him Parivar project will start in Himachal from July.
- CM Sukhu said that from July 2023, the state government will start the Him Parivar project.
- Through Him Parivar Project, information about essential facilities like ration card, family register, electricity, drinking water will be available on one click.
- As a 'Knowledge Partner', the Indian School of Business will cooperate in making the Himachal Data Portal more profitable and useful so that hopeful changes can be brought in the lives of 72 lakh people of the state.
- CM Sukhu said that the state government and the Indian School of Business would work together in the fields of education, information technology, forests and governance.
