Yol in Himachal sheds tag of cantonment town
- The picturesque Yol in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has shed its tag as a cantonment town with the defence ministry effecting the change and making provisions for the merger of civil areas with the local municipality.
- The military area within the cantonment will be converted into a military station and the civil area will be merged with the municipality.
- The move will prove beneficial to all stakeholders and that civilians, who until now were not getting access to welfare schemes of the state government through the municipality, will now be able to avail them.
हिमाचल में योल छावनी शहर का टैग हटा
- हिमाचल प्रदेश के कांगड़ा जिले में सुरम्य योल ने एक छावनी शहर के रूप में अपना टैग हटा दिया है, जिसमें रक्षा मंत्रालय परिवर्तन को प्रभावित कर रहा है और स्थानीय नगर पालिका के साथ नागरिक क्षेत्रों के विलय के लिए प्रावधान कर रहा है।
- छावनी के भीतर सैन्य क्षेत्र को एक सैन्य स्टेशन में परिवर्तित किया जाएगा और नागरिक क्षेत्र को नगरपालिका में मिला दिया जाएगा।
- यह कदम सभी हितधारकों के लिए फायदेमंद साबित होगा और नागरिक, जो अब तक नगरपालिका के माध्यम से राज्य सरकार की कल्याणकारी योजनाओं तक पहुंच नहीं पा रहे थे, अब उनका लाभ उठा सकेंगे।
