दक्षिण कोरिया ने पहला स्वदेशी अंतरिक्ष रॉकेट नुरिक लॉन्च किया
- दक्षिण कोरिया ने हाल ही में अपना पहला स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित रॉकेट लॉन्च किया, जो "कोरियाई सैटेलाइट लॉन्च व्हीकल II" या "नूरी " के नाम से जाना जाता है। सियोल से लगभग 300 मील (500 किलोमीटर) दक्षिण में एक द्वीप पर बने गोहेंग में नारो स्पेस सेंटर से लॉन्च किया गया।
- नूरी रॉकेट 47.2 मीटर लंबा है और इसका वजन 200 टन है। तीन चरणों वाले इस रॉकेट में छह तरल ईंधन वाले इंजन लगे हैं। इसे 2 ट्रिलियन वोन (£ 1.23bn या $1.6bn) की अनुमानित लागत से बनाया गया है।
चीन ने वर्गीकृत अंतरिक्ष मलबे शमन प्रौद्योगिकी उपग्रह लॉन्च किया
- चीन ने शिजियान-21 नामक एक नए उपग्रह का सफलतापूर्वक प्रक्षेपण किया। उपग्रह का उपयोग अंतरिक्ष मलबे शमन प्रौद्योगिकियों के परीक्षण और सत्यापन के लिए किया जाएगा। शिजियान-21 को लॉन्ग मार्च-3बी कैरियर रॉकेट से दक्षिण-पश्चिम चीन के सिचुआन प्रांत के शीचांग उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण केंद्र से लॉन्च किया गया।
- उपग्रह का उपयोग मुख्य रूप से अंतरिक्ष मलबे को कम करने वाली प्रौद्योगिकियों का परीक्षण और सत्यापन के लिए किया जाएगा। इस प्रक्षेपण ने लॉन्ग मार्च सीरीज कैरियर रॉकेट के लिए 393वें मिशन को चिह्नित किया।
चीन ने भूमि सीमा सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने के लिए नया कानून पारित किया
- भारत के साथ विवादित सीमा पर चल रहे सैन्य तनाव के बीच चीन ने शनिवार को भूमि सीमा सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने के लिए एक नया कानून पारित किया, जिससे देश की सीमाओं की रक्षा में सैन्य-नागरिक की भूमिका को मजबूती मिली।
- चीनी आधिकारिक मीडिया के अनुसार, नए कानून में कहा गया है कि लंबे समय से चले आ रहे सीमा विवादों को बातचीत के जरिए सुलझाया जाना चाहिए।

तमिलनाडु 'कूझंगल' : ऑस्कर 2022 में भारत की आधिकारिक प्रविष्टि
- फिल्म निर्माता विनोथराज पीएस द्वारा निर्देशित तमिल नाटक कूझंगल (कंकड़) को 94वें अकादमी पुरस्कारों के लिए भारत की आधिकारिक प्रविष्टि के रूप में चुना गया है।
- फिल्म एक शराबी पति का अनुसरण करती है, जो अपनी लंबे समय से पीड़ित पत्नी के भाग जाने के बाद, अपने छोटे बेटे के साथ उसे खोजने और उसे वापस लाने के लिए निकल पड़ता है।
- यह नवागंतुक - चेल्लापंडी और करुथथदैयां - और विग्नेश शिवन और नयनतारा द्वारा निर्मित है।
- "इस वर्ष ऑस्कर के लिए भारत की आधिकारिक प्रविष्टि कूझंगल है। इसे एक सर्वसम्मत निर्णय में फिल्म निर्माता शाजी एन करुण की अध्यक्षता में 15 सदस्यीय जूरी द्वारा चुना गया था।
पीएम मोदी करेंगे आत्मानिर्भर स्वस्थ भारत योजना (पीएम-एएसबीवाई) का शुभारंभ
- प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी सोमवार को उत्तर प्रदेश में अपने लोकसभा क्षेत्र वाराणसी में प्रधानमंत्री आत्मानिर्भर स्वस्थ भारत योजना, 64,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की एक मेगा स्वास्थ्य बुनियादी ढांचा योजना का शुभारंभ करेंगे। इस योजना की घोषणा वित्त वर्ष 21-22 के बजट भाषण में छह वर्षों में (वित्त वर्ष 25-26 तक) लगभग 64,180 करोड़ रुपये के परिव्यय के लिए की गई थी और यह राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के अतिरिक्त होगी।
- यह प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की उत्तर प्रदेश की एक सप्ताह में, दूसरी यात्रा होगी, जहां अगले वर्ष चुनाव होने हैं, सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों, उप-जिला और जिला अस्पतालों और वाराणसी के सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेज के हेल्थकेयर पेशेवर वस्तुतः इसमें शामिल होंगे।
नागालैंड 56वीं राष्ट्रीय क्रॉस कंट्री चैंपियनशिप 2022 की मेजबानी करेगा
- 2022 साउथ एशियन फेडरेशन क्रॉस कंट्री चैंपियनशिप 15 जनवरी, 2022 को कोहिमा, नागालैंड में आयोजित होने वाली है। इसके अलावा 56वीं नेशनल क्रॉस कंट्री चैंपियनशिप को साउथ एशियन फेडरेशन क्रॉस कंट्री चैंपियनशिप के साथ भी जोड़ा जाएगा। नागालैंड द्वारा आयोजित यह पहला राष्ट्रीय एथलेटिक्स आयोजन होगा।
- आठ दक्षिण एशियाई देशों के शीर्ष एथलीट दिन भर चलने वाले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खेल आयोजन में हिस्सा लेंगे। चैंपियनशिप में विभिन्न प्रकार के इलाकों में दौड़ना शामिल होगा, जिसमें स्प्रिंट ओवर डर्ट, जॉग डाउनहिल और माउंटिंग अपहिल शामिल हैं।

उपराष्ट्रपति ने अमेरिका के वांगुरी फाउंडेशन की 100वीं पुस्तक का विमोचन किया
- उपराष्ट्रपति, श्री एम. वेंकैया नायडू ने हमारी समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक और भाषाई विरासत को संरक्षित करने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया और सभी से व्यक्तिगत और सामूहिक रूप से इसके लिए प्रयास करने का आग्रह किया।
- उपराष्ट्रपति ने ये टिप्पणी अमेरिका के वांगुरी फाउंडेशन की 100वीं पुस्तक के आभासी विमोचन के अवसर पर की। '7वा प्रपंच साहित्य सदासु सभा विशेष संचिका' नामक पुस्तक पिछले वर्ष अक्टूबर में अन्य तेलुगु सांस्कृतिक संगठनों के सहयोग से अमेरिका के वांगुरी फाउंडेशन द्वारा आयोजित 7वें विश्व तेलुगु साहित्य शिखर सम्मेलन पर आधारित है।

- 'द ओरिजिन स्टोरी ऑफ इंडियाज स्टेट्स' नामक पुस्तक वेंकटराघवन सुभा श्रीनिवासन द्वारा लिखी गई है और पेंगुइन रैंडम हाउस इंडिया (PRHI) द्वारा प्रकाशित की गई है।

South Korea launches first homegrown space rocket Nuri
- South Korea recently launched its first indigenously developed rocket, known as “Korean Satellite Launch Vehicle II” or “Nuri”. The launch vehicle lifted off from the Naro Space Center, in Goheung, built on an island nearly 300 miles (500 kilometres) south of Seoul. Nuri rocket is 47.2 metres long and weighs 200 tons.
- The three-stage rocket is fitted with six liquid-fuelled engines. It has been built at an estimated cost of 2 trillion won (£1.23bn or $1.6bn).
China launches classified space debris mitigation technology satellite
- China successfully launched a new satellite named Shijian-21. The satellite will be used to test and verify space debris mitigation technologies. Shijian-21 was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on a Long March-3B carrier rocket.
- The satellite will be mainly used to test and verify space debris mitigation technologies. This launch marked the 393rd mission for the Long March series carrier rockets.
China passes new law to strengthen land border protection
- China on Saturday passed a new law to strengthen land border protection amid the ongoing military tension along the disputed boundary with India, firming up the military-civilian role in defending the country’s borders.
- Long-standing border disputes should be resolved through negotiations, the new law adds, according to Chinese official media.

Tamil nadu 'Koozhangal' : India's official entry to the Oscars 2022
- Tamil drama Koozhangal (Pebbles), directed by filmmaker Vinothraj PS, has been selected as India's official entry for the 94th Academy Awards.
- The movie follows an alcoholic abusive husband who, after his long-suffering wife runs off, sets out with his young son to find her and bring her back.
- It stars newcomers – Chellapandi and Karuththadaiyaan – and is produced by Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara.
- "India's official entry for Oscars this year is Koozhangal. It was picked by a 15-member jury, headed by filmmaker Shaji N Karun, in a unanimous decision," Supran Sen, Secretary-General, Film Federation of India.
PM Modi to launch the Aatmanirbhar swasth Bharat Yojana (PM-ASBY)
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana, a mega health infrastructure scheme worth over Rs 64,000 crore, in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The scheme was announced in the Budget speech of FY 21-22, for an outlay of about Rs 64,180 crore over six years (till FY 25-26) and will be in addition to the National Health Mission, as per the information provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
- This would be Prime Minister Modi’s second visit to Uttar Pradesh, which goes to polls next year, in a week. Healthcare professionals from public health centers, sub-district and district hospitals, and the Government Medical College of Varanasi will join in virtually.
Nagaland will host 56th National Cross Country Championship 2022
- The 2022 South Asian Federation Cross Country Championships is scheduled to be held in Kohima, Nagaland on January 15, 2022. Besides this, the 56th National Cross Country Championships will also be clubbed with the South Asian Federation Cross Country Championships. This will be the first-ever national athletics event hosted by Nagaland.
- Top athletes from the eight South Asian countries will take part in the day-long international sports event. The championship will involve running on different types of terrain including sprint over dirt, jog downhill and mounting uphill.

- Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu emphasized the need to preserve our rich cultural and linguistic heritage and urged everyone to make efforts, individually and collectively, for this.
- The Vice President made these remarks at the virtual release of the 100th book of the Vanguri Foundation of America. The book titled as ‘7va Prapancha Sahiti Sadassu Sabha Vishesha Sanchika’ is based on the 7th World Telugu Literary Summit organised by the Vanguri Foundation of America in collaboration with other Telugu cultural organisations in October last year.
