107 वर्षीय जापानी बहनें विश्‍व की सबसे बुजुर्ग जुड़वां

गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स ने दो जापानी बहनों को 107 पर विश्‍व की सबसे उम्रदराज जीवित समान जुड़वां के रूप में प्रमाणित किया है। उमेनो सुमियामा और कोउमे कोदामा का जन्म 5 नवंबर, 1913 को पश्चिमी जापान के शोदोशिमा द्वीप पर 11 भाई-बहनों में तीसरे और चौथे स्थान पर हुआ था।
सुमियामा और कोदामा 1 सितंबर तक 107 वर्ष और 300 दिन के थे, उन्होंने प्रसिद्ध जापानी बहनों किन नारिता और जिन कानि द्वारा 107 वर्ष और 175 दिनों में बनाए गए पिछले रिकॉर्ड को तोड़ दिया।

असम सरकार कामरूप जिले के छयगाँव में एक चाय पार्क स्थापित करेगी

असम कामरूप जिले के छयगाँव में एक चाय पार्क स्थापित कर रहा है। इस चाय बागान में एक छत के नीचे रेल और बंदरगाह कनेक्टिविटी, कार्गो और गोदाम सुविधाएं, चाय पीसने, सम्मिश्रण, पैकेजिंग और अन्य उपयोगिता सेवाएं जैसी प्रसंस्करण सुविधाएं होंगी।
चाय बागान कंपनियां सेगुन और अगर के रोपण या चाय बागानों को बेचने के लिए बगीचे की भूमि का उपयोग कर रही हैं, मंत्री ने कहा कि चाय बागान मालिक अपनी संपत्ति नहीं बेच सकते क्योंकि पट्टे की जमीन अभी भी असम सरकार की है और इसके बजाय उन्हें नवाचार और असम चाय की ब्रांडिंग पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने के लिए कहा है।

THFF का पहला संस्करण 24 से 28 सितंबर तक लेह में होगा

'द हिमालयन फिल्म फेस्टिवल-2021' का पहला संस्करण 24 से 28 सितंबर तक लेह, लद्दाख में शुरू होगा। फिल्म समारोह का आयोजन केंद्र शासित प्रदेश लद्दाख के प्रशासन द्वारा फिल्म समारोह निदेशालय, सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के सहयोग से किया जा रहा है।
फिल्म महोत्सव की मेजबानी लद्दाख स्वायत्त पहाड़ी विकास परिषद, लेह के सहयोग से की जा रही है। पांच दिवसीय फिल्म महोत्सव भारत की आजादी के 75 वर्ष पूरे होने के उपलक्ष्य में 'आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव' के जश्न का एक हिस्सा है।
फिल्म फेस्टिवल में स्थानीय फिल्म निर्माताओं की सक्रिय भागीदारी होगी और 12 हिमालयी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों से प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन होगा। महोत्सव के दौरान हिमालयी राज्यों जैसे असम, सिक्किम, मणिपुर, मिजोरम, त्रिपुरा, मेघालय, नागालैंड, उत्तराखंड, अरुणाचल प्रदेश, हिमाचल प्रदेश और लद्दाख की लोकप्रिय फिल्मों के अलावा भारतीय पैनोरमा चयनित फिल्मों का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा।

तमिलनाडु के कोवलम समुद्र तट, पुडुचेरी के ईडन को ब्लू फ्लैग प्रमाणन मिला

भारत में दो और समुद्र तटों को "ब्लू फ्लैग" प्रमाणन से सम्मानित किया गया है, जो एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय इको-स्तरीय टैग है, जिससे देश में ऐसे समुद्र तटों की कुल संख्या 10 हो गई है। इस वर्ष प्रमाणन प्राप्त करने वाले दो समुद्र तट तमिलनाडु में कोवलम और पुडुचेरी में ईडन हैं।
फाउंडेशन फॉर एनवायरनमेंट एजुकेशन (FEE), डेनमार्क, जो ब्लू फ्लैग प्रमाणन प्रदान करता है, ने आठ नामित समुद्र तटों - शिवराजपुर-गुजरात, घोघ्ला-दीव, कसर्कोद और पदुबिदरी -कर्नाटक, काप्पाड-केरल, रुशिकोंदा-आंध्र प्रदेश, गोल्डन-ओडिशा के लिए पुन: प्रमाणन भी दिया है और राधानगर- अंडमान और निकोबार, जिन्हें पिछले वर्ष ब्लू फ्लैग सर्टिफिकेट से सम्मानित किया गया था। इन आठ समुद्र तटों को 6 अक्टूबर, 2020 को ब्लू फ्लैग सर्टिफिकेशन मिला है।

भारत के डी गुकेश ने इस महीने का अपना लगातार दूसरा टूर्नामेंट नॉर्वे शतरंज ओपन 2021 मास्टर्स वर्ग जीता। गुकेश ने नाबाद 8.5/10 का स्कोर बनाया और टूर्नामेंट जीतने की प्रतियोगिता से पहले एक पूर्ण अंक हासिल किया।
इनियन ने 8.5/10 अंकों के साथ एकमात्र दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया जो शीर्ष वरीयता प्राप्त दिमित्रिज कोलार्स (जर्मनी) और वैलेन्टिन ड्रैगनेव (ऑस्ट्रिया) से आधा अंक आगे रहा।

फेसबुक इंडिया ने पूर्व आईएएस अधिकारी राजीव अग्रवाल को सार्वजनिक नीति निदेशक नियुक्त किया है। वह अंखी दास की जगह लेंगे, जिन्होंने पिछले वर्ष अक्टूबर में कंपनी छोड़ दी थी। वह देश में दक्षिणपंथी नेताओं के खिलाफ अभद्र भाषा के नियमों को लागू करने का विरोध करने के लिए एक विवाद में फंस गई थी। अपनी नई भूमिका में, अग्रवाल भारत में फेसबुक के लिए महत्वपूर्ण नीति विकास पहलों को परिभाषित और नेतृत्व करेंगे, जिसमें उपयोगकर्ता सुरक्षा, डेटा संरक्षण और गोपनीयता, समावेश और इंटरनेट शासन शामिल है।
अग्रवाल को भारतीय प्रशासनिक अधिकारी (आईएएस) के रूप में 26 से अधिक वर्षों का अनुभव है और उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश के नौ जिलों में एक जिला मजिस्ट्रेट के रूप में काम किया है।

संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा 2021: कैलाश सत्यार्थी को सतत विकास लक्ष्यों के अधिवक्ता के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया

नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार विजेता कैलाश सत्यार्थी को संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासचिव एंटोनियो गुटेरेस ने 76वीं संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा में सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (एसडीजी) के अधिवक्ता के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। गुटेरेस ने सत्यार्थी, एसटीईएम कार्यकर्ता वेलेंटीना मुनोज रबनाल, माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के अध्यक्ष ब्रैड स्मिथ और के-पॉप सुपरस्टार ब्लैकपिंक को नए एसडीजी अधिवक्ता के रूप में नियुक्त किया। इसके साथ ही संयुक्त राष्ट्र में अब कुल 16 एसडीजी अधिवक्ता हो गए हैं।
एसडीजी अधिवक्ता अपने प्रभाव के काफी क्षेत्रों का उपयोग नए निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों तक पहुंचने और लोगों और ग्रह के लिए सतत विकास लक्ष्यों के वादे को निभाने के लिए करते हैं।
संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने कहा कि जलवायु कार्रवाई, डिजिटल विभाजन को पाटना, लैंगिक समानता और बच्चों के अधिकारों को बढ़ावा देना नए एसडीजी अधिवक्ताओं द्वारा चैंपियन किए जाने वाले प्रमुख मुद्दे हैं।
एसडीजी एडवोकेट विश्‍व के प्रमुख नेता हैं जो अपने प्रभाव के काफी क्षेत्रों का उपयोग करते हुए 2030 तक 17 एसडीजी को वितरित करने के लिए कार्रवाई करने के लिए काम करते हैं।

Sony के साथ विलय करेगा ZEE; पुनीत गोयनका होंगे संयुक्त इकाई के सीईओ और एमडी

ZEE एंटरटेनमेंट एंटरप्राइजेज लिमिटेड (ZEEL) के निदेशक मंडल ने सोनी पिक्चर्स नेटवर्क्स इंडिया (SPNI) के साथ कंपनी के विलय को सर्वसम्मति से मंजूरी दे दी है। विलय के एक हिस्से के रूप में, एसपीएनआई के शेयरधारक एसपीएनआई में विकास पूंजी भी डालेंगे, जो उन्हें विलय की गई इकाई में बहुसंख्यक हितधारक बना देगा। विलय की गई इकाई को भारतीय स्टॉक एक्सचेंजों में सूचीबद्ध किया जाएगा।
ज़ी एंटरटेनमेंट की 47.07 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी होगी, जबकि सोनी इंडिया की संयुक्त कंपनी में 52.93 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी होगी।
विलय के बाद, सोनी इंडिया के पास विलय की गई कंपनी में अधिकांश निदेशकों को नियुक्त करने का अधिकार होगा।
ज़ी एंटरटेनमेंट के सीईओ पुनीत गोयनका 5 वर्ष की अवधि के लिए विलय की गई इकाई के एमडी और सीईओ होंगे।

सांकेतिक भाषाओं का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 2021: 23 सितंबर

23 सितंबर को विश्‍व भर में प्रतिवर्ष अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सांकेतिक भाषा दिवस (IDSL) मनाया जाता है। यह दिन सांकेतिक भाषाओं के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने और सांकेतिक भाषाओं की स्थिति को मजबूत करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। 2021 के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सांकेतिक भाषा दिवस का विषय "हम मानवाधिकारों के लिए हस्ताक्षर करते हैं" इस बात पर प्रकाश डालते हैं कि कैसे हम में से प्रत्येक - विश्‍व भर में बहरे और सुनने वाले लोग - जीवन के सभी क्षेत्र में सांकेतिक भाषाओं का उपयोग करने के हमारे अधिकार की मान्यता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हाथ से हाथ मिलाकर काम कर सकते हैं।
दिन का प्रस्ताव वर्ल्ड फेडरेशन ऑफ द डेफ (WFD) से आया, जो विश्‍व भर में लगभग 70 मिलियन बधिर लोगों के मानवाधिकारों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले बधिर लोगों के 135 राष्ट्रीय संघों का एक संघ है। 23 सितंबर का चयन उस तारीख को याद करता है जब 1951 में WFD की स्थापना की गई थी। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सांकेतिक भाषा दिवस पहली बार 2018 में बधिरों के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सप्ताह के हिस्से के रूप में मनाया गया था।

107-Year-Old Japanese Sisters Are the World’s Oldest Identical Twins

Japanese Sisters, 107, are Officially World’s Oldest Identical Twins Umeno and Koume Guinness World Records.
Guinness World Records has certified two Japanese sisters as the world’s oldest living identical twins at 107. Umeno Sumiyama and Koume Kodama were born the third and fourth of 11 siblings on Shodoshima island in western Japan on Nov. 5, 1913.
Sumiyama and Kodama were 107 years and 300 days old as of Sept 1, breaking the previous record set by famous Japanese sisters Kin Narita and Gin Kanie at 107 years and 175 days.

Assam govt to set up a tea Park at Chayygaon of Kamrup district

Assam is setting up a tea Park at Chayygaon in Kamrup District. This tea garden will have rail and port connectivity, cargo and warehouse amenities, processing facilities like tea grinding, blending, packaging and other utility services under one roof.
Tea garden companies using garden lands for plantation of Segun and agar or selling off the tea estates, the Minister stated that tea garden owners cannot sell off their estates as the leased land still belongs to Assam Government and instead asked them to focus on innovation and branding of Assam Tea.

The first edition of THFF will begin from 24 to 28 September at Leh

The first edition of ‘The Himalayan Film Festival-2021’ (THFF) will begin from 24 to 28 September at Leh, Ladakh. The film festival is being organised by the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh in collaboration with the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The film festival is being hosted in collaboration with the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh. The five-day film festival is a part of the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ commemorating 75 years of India’s Independence.
The film festival will have active participation from the local filmmakers and showcase talent from across the 12 Himalayan states and UTs. Popular films from the Himalayan states viz Assam, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh besides Indian Panorama selected films will be showcased during the festival.

Tamil Nadu’s Kovalam beach, Puducherry’s Eden get Blue Flag certification

Two more beaches in India have been awarded “Blue Flag” certification, an international eco-level tag, taking the total number of such beaches in the country to 10. The two beaches to receive the certification this year are Kovalam in Tamil Nadu and Eden in Puducherry.
The Foundation for Environment Education (FEE), Denmark, which accords the Blue Flag certification, has also given re-certification for eight nominated beaches – Shivrajpur-Gujarat, Ghoghla-Diu, Kasarkod and Padubidri-Karnataka, Kappad-Kerala, Rushikonda- Andhra Pradesh, Golden-Odisha and Radhanagar- Andaman and Nicobar, which were awarded the Blue Flag certificate last year. These eight beaches got the Blue Flag certification on October 6, 2020.

India’s D. Gukesh wins Norway Chess Open 2021

India’s D Gukesh won his second consecutive tournament of this month, the Norway Chess Open 2021 Masters section.
Gukesh scored an unbeaten 8.5/10 and finished a full point ahead of the competition to win the tournament. Iniyan secured sole second position with 8.5/10 points, finishing a half point ahead of top seed Dmitrij Kollars (Germany) and Valentin Dragnev (Austria).

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics unveiled its official motto, “Together for a Shared Future”, during a ceremony at the city’s Capital Museum. The motto was chosen after a lengthy process that included a total of 79 different proposals. This motto embodies the Olympic spirit, the Chinese way of revealing the Olympic spirit.
That’s because ‘together’ embodies a type of unity, cohesion and a way of overcoming difficulties. The Games will be held from February 4-20, with Beijing set to become the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

Facebook India appoints former IAS Officer Rajiv Aggarwal as Head of Public Policy

Facebook India has appointed former IAS officer Rajiv Aggarwal as the Director of Public Policy. He succeeds Ankhi Das, who quit the company in October last year. She was embroiled in a controversy for opposing the enforcement of hate-speech rules against right-wing leaders in the country. In his new role, Aggarwal will define and lead important policy development initiatives for Facebook in India on an agenda that covers user safety, data protection and privacy, inclusion and internet governance.
Aggarwal has over 26 years of experience as an Indian Administrative Officer (IAS) and worked as a District Magistrate in nine districts across Uttar Pradesh.

UN General Assembly 2021: Kailash Satyarthi appointed as Sustainable Development Goals advocate

Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi has been appointed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Advocate in the 76th UN General Assembly. Guterres appointed Satyarthi, STEM activist Valentina Munoz Rabanal, Microsoft President Brad Smith and K-pop superstars BLACKPINK as new SDG Advocates. With this, the UN now has total of 16 SDG Advocates.
The SDG Advocates use their considerable spheres of influence to reach new constituencies to act now and keep the promise of the Sustainable Development Goals for people and for the planet.
The UN said climate action, bridging the digital divide, gender equality and the promotion of the rights of children are key issues to be championed by the new SDG Advocates.
The SDG Advocates are prominent leaders in the world who work to mobilise action to deliver the 17 SDGs by 2030, using their considerable spheres of influence.

Zee to merge with Sony; Punit Goenka will be CEO & MD of combined entity

The Board of Directors of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has unanimously approved the merger of the company with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI). As a part of the merger, shareholders of SPNI will also infuse growth capital into SPNI, which will make them the majority stakeholder in the merged entity. The merged entity will be listed on the Indian stock exchanges.
Zee Entertainment will hold 47.07 per cent stake, while Sony India will hold a 52.93 per cent stake in the combined company.
Following the merger, Sony India will have the right to appoint the majority of directors to the merged company.
Puneet Goenka, the CEO of Zee Entertainment, will be the MD and CEO of the merged entity for a period of 5 years.

International Day of Sign Languages 2021: 23rd September

The International Day of Sign Languages (IDSL) is celebrated annually across the world on 23 September. This day is celebrated to raise awareness of sign languages and strengthen the status of sign languages. The theme for the 2021 International Day of Sign Languages is “We Sign For Human Rights” highlighting how each of us – deaf and hearing people around the world – can work together hand in hand to promote the recognition of our right to use sign languages in all areas of life.
The proposal for the Day came from the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), a federation of 135 national associations of deaf people, representing approximately 70 million deaf people’s human rights worldwide. The choice of 23 September commemorates the date that the WFD was established in 1951. The International Day of Sign Languages was first celebrated in 2018 as part of the International Week of the Deaf.
