मुंबई हवाई अड्डा ने एक्सप्रेस C-19 परीक्षण सुविधा शुरू की, जो 13 मिनट में फ्लैट में परिणाम देगी
- शहर के छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे (CSMIA) ने एक नई 24X7 C-19 परीक्षण सुविधा शुरू की है, जो 4,500 की लागत से 13 मिनट में फ्लैट में परीक्षा परिणाम देती है।
- 15 दिसंबर को लॉन्च होने के बाद से, CSMIA ने प्रति दिन औसतन 30-35 ऐसे परीक्षण देखे हैं।
- हवाई अड्डे पर 28 दिसंबर तक कुल 400 एक्सप्रेस परीक्षण किए गए हैं, जिसमें ऐसे यात्री शामिल हैं, जिन्होंने महाराष्ट्र के बाहर के गंतव्यों के लिए उड़ानों को जोड़ा था।
डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने भारत के पहले स्वदेशी निमोनिया टीके 'Pneumosil' का किया उद्घाटन
- केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने निमोनिया से लड़ने के लिए भारत में विकसित पहली वैक्सीन लॉन्च की है। भारत के पहले न्यूमोकोकल कंजुगेट वैक्सीन (PCV) को 'न्यूमोसिल (Pneumosil)' नाम दिया गया है, इस टीके को पुणे स्थित सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया (SII) द्वारा बिल और मेलिंडा गेट्स फाउंडेशन और PATH के सहयोग से विकसित किया गया है, जो सिएटल स्थित एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय, गैर-लाभकारी वैश्विक स्वास्थ्य संगठन है।
- यह टीका छोटे बच्चों में निमोनिया, मैनिंजाइटिस, कान और रक्त संक्रमण का कारण बनने वाले न्यूमोकोकस बैक्टीरिया के 10 प्रकारों से सुरक्षा प्रदान करेगा। दुनिया भर में पांच साल से कम उम्र के बच्चों की मौत के लिए निमोनिया सबसे बड़ा संक्रामक रोग है।
INCOIS ने समुद्र से संबंधित जानकारी साझा करने के लिए लॉन्च की "Digital Ocean" ऐप
- केंद्रीय पृथ्वी विज्ञान, विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री, डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने वीडियो कांफ्रेसिंग के जरिए वेब आधारित एप्लिकेशन “Digital Ocean” को लॉन्च किया। इसे पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत आने वाले एक स्वायत्त संगठन हैदराबाद स्थित इंडियन नेशनल सेंटर फॉर ओशन इन्फॉर्मेशन सर्विसेज (INCOIS) द्वारा विकसित किया गया है। डिजिटल ओसियन, समुद्र डेटा प्रबंधन के लिए लॉन्च की किया गया अपनी तरह का पहला डिजिटल प्लेटफ़ॉर्म है।
- डिजिटल ओसियन, भारत को डिजिटल रूप से सशक्त बनाने और ज्ञान अर्थव्यवस्था में बदलने के लिए प्रधान मंत्री के डिजिटल इंडिया के दृष्टिकोण की दिशा में एक कदम है
- डिजिटल ओसियन, महासागर से संबंधित सभी डेटा के लिए वन-स्टॉप-सॉल्यूशन के रूप में काम करेगा।

पीएम मोदी ने दिखाई भारत की पहली ड्राइवरलेस ट्रेन को हरी झंडी
- प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दिल्ली मेट्रो की मैजेंटा लाइन पर देश की पहली पूर्ण-स्वचालित ड्राईवरलेस ट्रेन सेवा को हरी झंडी दिखाई। इसके अलावा, DMRC को NCMC सेवा से जोड़ने के लिए, पीएम ने दिल्ली मेट्रो की एयरपोर्ट एक्सप्रेस लाइन पर पूर्णत: परिचालित राष्ट्रीय कॉमन मोबिलिटी कार्ड (National Common Mobility Card-NCMC) का भी शुभारंभ किया।
- NCMC, जिसे ‘वन नेशन वन कार्ड’ के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, एक अंतर-ऑपरेबल ट्रांसपोर्ट कार्ड है, जो धारकों को उनकी यात्रा, टोल टैक्स, पार्किंग शुल्क, खुदरा खरीदारी और यहां तक कि पैसे निकालने के लिए भुगतान के लिए आल इन वन सर्विस की अनुमति देता है।

- बैडमिंटन वर्ल्ड फेडरेशन (BWF) ने रूसी शटलर निकिता खाकीमोव पर "सट्टेबाजी, छेड़खानी और अनियमित मैच परिणामों” के आरोप में 5 साल का प्रतिबंध लगाया है। खाकीमोव रूसी पुरुष टीम का हिस्सा था जिसने 2020 यूरोपीय टीम चैंपियनशिप में कांस्य पदक जीता था।
- 32 वर्षीय खाकीमोव को बीडब्ल्यूएफ के अखंडता नियमों को तोड़ने के लिए पाया गया, जिसमें एक खिलाड़ी से संपर्क करना और मैच में हेरफेर करने के लिए धन की पेशकश करना, बैडमिंटन के खेल पर दांव लगाना और BWF से छिपाने के लिए भ्रष्टाचार के अपराध के साक्ष्य को जानबूझकर नष्ट करना शामिल था।

- फ्रांसीसी फैशन डिजाइनर पियरे कार्डिन, का, मंगलवार को 98 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया।
- कार्डिन, जो उत्तरी इटली में एक कम-आय वाले परिवार में पैदा हुए थे, लेकिन बाद मे वह फ्रांस के एक फैशन सुपरस्टार बन गए।

केरल की आर्य राजेंद्रन तिरुवनंतपुरम से भारत की सबसे युवा मेयर बनी
- 21 वर्षीय कॉलेज की छात्र, आर्य राजेंद्रन को केरल के तिरुवनंतपुरम निगम का नया मेयर चुना गया है। भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी (मार्क्सवादी) नेता, आर्य देश में कहीं भी मेयर पद पर कब्जा करने वाले भारत के सबसे कम उम्र के व्यक्ति हैं।
- आर्य ने केरल में नागरिक निकाय चुनावों में डाले गए 99 वोटों में से 54 वोट जीते। वह सीपीआई (एम) के बच्चों के विंग बालासंगम की राज्य अध्यक्ष भी हैं।

टाटा संस ने एयरएशिया इंडिया में 37.66 मिलियन डॉलर में $ 32.67% हिस्सेदारी खरीदी
- टाटा ग्रुप के एविएशन पोर्टफोलियो के समेकन में पहले कदम के रूप में आंका जा रहा है, एक कदम में, टाटा संस मलेशियाई एयरएशिया ग्रुप से एयरएशिया इंडिया में 32.67 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी खरीदेगी, 83.67 प्रति तक संयुक्त उद्यम एयरलाइन में अपनी हिस्सेदारी लेगी। मलेशियाई शेयर बाजारों को एक फाइलिंग में, एयरएशिया ग्रुप ने कहा कि 37.66 मिलियन डॉलर की कीमत वाला यह सौदा भारतीय बजट एयरलाइन में अपना हिस्सा घटाकर 16.33 फीसदी पर पहुंच जाएगा।

Mumbai airport introduces express C-19 testing facility, gives results in 13 minutes
- The city's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) on Tuesday said it has introduced a new 24X7 C-19 testing facility, which gives test results in flat 13 minutes at a cost of ₹ 4,500.
- Since its launch on December 15, CSMIA has witnessed an average of 30-35 such tests per day, CSMIA said in a release.
- A total of 400 express tests have been carried out at the airport till December 28, which include passengers who had connecting flights to destinations outside Maharashtra.
Harsh Vardhan launches India’s 1st indigenous pneumonia vaccine ‘Pneumosil’
- The Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan launched India’s first indigenously developed vaccine against pneumonia. The Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) named ‘Pneumosil’ has been developed by the Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII) in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and PATH, an international, nonprofit global health organization based in Seattle.
- The vaccine will provide protection against 10 variants of pneumococcus bacteria that causes pneumonia, meningitis, ear, and blood infections in children. Pneumococcal disease is the largest contributor to the under-five mortality rate worldwide.
INCOIS launches “Digital Ocean” app for information sharing
- The Union Minister of Earth Sciences, Science & Technology, Dr. Harsh Vardhan virtually inaugurated the web-based application “Digital Ocean”. It has been developed by Hyderabad-based Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) an autonomous organization under M/o Earth sciences. Digital Ocean is a first of its kind digital platform for Ocean Data Management.
- Digital Ocean is a step towards the Prime Minister’s vision of Digital India, to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
- Digital Ocean will serve as a one-stop-solution for all the data related to the ocean.
- It will help to share this knowledge about the ocean with a wide range of users including research institutions, operational agencies, strategic users, the academic community, maritime industry, and policymakers, as well as the general public and the common man that too free of cost.
PM Modi flagged off India’s first driverless train on Delhi Metro
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off the country’s first-ever fully-automated driverless train service on the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro. Apart from this, PM also launched a fully operational National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) on the Airport Express Line of Delhi Metro, to connect DMRC with the NCMC service.
- NCMC, also known as ‘One Nation One Card’, is an inter-operable transport card that allows the holders all in one service to pay for their travel, toll taxes, parking charges, retail shopping, and even withdraw money.

BWF bans Russian badminton player Nikita Khakimov for 5 years
- The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has imposed a 5-year ban on Russian shuttler Nikita Khakimov for charges of “betting, wagering, and irregular match results. Khakimov was part of the Russian men’s team that won the bronze medal at the 2020 European Team Championships.
- The 32-year-old Khakimov was found to breach BWF’s integrity regulations, including approaching a player and offering money to manipulate a match, betting on badminton games, and deliberately destroying evidence of a corruption offence to conceal from the BWF.
Anshu Malik wins silver at Individual Wrestling World Cup in Serbia
- Indian wrestler, Anshu Malik has become the first wrestler of the country to finish on the podium position at the Individual Wrestling World Cup in Belgrade, Serbia.
- The 19-year-old won a silver medal in the women’s 57kg category to claim the first international medal of the tournament for the country. She lost to Moldova’s Anastasia Nichita 5-1 in the final.

French fashion designer Pierre Cardin passes away
- French fashion designer Pierre Cardin hailed for his visionary creations but also for bringing stylish clothes to the masses, died Tuesday aged 98.
- Cardin, who was born to a low-income family in northern Italy but became a France-based fashion superstar, died in a hospital in Neuilly in the west of Paris.
- Born into poverty in 1922 near Venice in northern Italy, his family emigrated to France when he was a small child.

Kerala’s Arya Rajendran becomes India’s youngest mayor from Thiruvananthapuram
- The 21-year-old college student, Arya Rajendran has been elected the new mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, of Kerala. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader, Arya is the youngest person in India to occupy the post of mayor anywhere in the country.
- Arya won 54 votes out of 99 votes cast in the civic body polls in Kerala. She is also the state president of Balasangam, the children’s wing of the CPI(M). Arya is a second-year student of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mathematics at the All Saints College.

Tata Sons to buy 32.67% stake in AirAsia India for $37.66 million
- In a move that is being pegged as the first step in the consolidation of Tata Group’s aviation portfolio, Tata Sons will purchase a 32.67 per cent stake in AirAsia India from Malaysian AirAsia Group Bhd, taking its holding in the joint-venture airline up to 83.67 per cent. In a filing to the Malaysian stock exchanges, the AirAsia Group said that the deal, which is worth $37.66 million, will see its share in the Indian budget airline go down to 16.33 percent.
- As of date, AirAsia held a 49 per cent stake in AirAsia India, while Tata Sons held 51 per cent. In addition to this, Tata Sons also owns a 51 per cent stake in full-service airline Vistara, the rest of which it is owned by Singapore Airlines.

- AU Small Finance Bank has announced a strategic partnership with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance to offer life insurance solutions. The tie-up aims to deliver “paperless, secure, and hassle-free life insurance”.
- Through the corporate agency arrangement, over 18 lakh customers of AU Bank across over 700 banking touchpoints in 13 states and 2 Union territories, will have easy access to the entire suite of customer-centric protection and long-term savings products of ICICI Prudential Life. AU Bank even claimed that these products will enable customers to provide financial security to themselves and their families and help them achieve their financial goals.
