AISSEE 2020: Sainik School Admission For Girls: The AISSEE exam is conducted to select students for admission to Classes 6 to 9 in 26 Sainik Schools across the country. The Sainik Schools Society has reopened the registration process for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE 2020) for girls. The registration process that was earlier closed on September 23, 2019 has now been reopened.
According to an update on the website, only girl candidates can now apply from November 26 to December 6, 2019 on the official website-http://www.sainikschooladmission.in. The entrance examination will be conducted on January 5, 2020 and the final merit list (with the waiting list) will be displayed on March 20, 2020. The exam is held to select students for admission to Classes 6 to 9 in 26 Sainik Schools across the country.

- Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that says, ‘Application form’
- Step 3: You will be directed to a new page
- Step 4: Fill in your details and pay the application fee
- Step 5: Download the application form and take a print out for future reference

General category and defence category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 400 while SC/ ST aspirants will have to pay Rs 250.Sainik School AISSEE 2020: Exam pattern
- For students appearing for class 6 exam, the paper will consist of 125 questions and will carry 300 marks.
- For students appearing for class 9, the paper will have 400 marks and will consist of 150 questions
Earlier, only boys were allowed to take admission in Sainik schools. There are 33 Sainik Schools across the country. Sainik School had opened admission to girl students in 2017, with the induction of six girls, in accordance with the pilot project undertaken by the Central government.
The Defence Minister has earlier approved a proposal to allow admission to girls in all Sainik schools from the academic year 2021-22 in a phased manner.
Candidates should note that registration for admission is for a particular school only under a particular category. Choice of schools given by the candidates does not assure that they will be considered for schools other than the first choice, in the normal course.
"If a Sainik School has surplus candidates in their published list of candidates after the admission process, they may be allotted other schools depending on vacancies available in other schools (under SC, ST, Home General, or Outside Home, Home Defence or Outside Home Defence Category as applicable) after all their candidates in the waiting list are admitted. Thereafter the merit as well as preference of the surplus candidates of other schools may be considered", the Sainik School Society said.

The Sainik School Society had started thorugh its official website sainikschooladmission.in online registration process for All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2020 (AISSEE 2020) from August 05, 2019. The last date to apply was Septmber 23, 2019.
The Sainik Society will conduct All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2020 (AISSEE 2020) on Sunday January 05, 2020. AISSEE 2020 Admit Card will be released on December 02, 2019.
