Exam Highlights: ESIC SSO Prelims Exam 2018 : 1st Shift

1. Overall level of the exam - The exam falls into the range of Moderate level. 

2. Reasoning Ability: The level of Reasoning ability section was moderate. Puzzles and seating arrangement dominated the section. The puzzles asked were very lengthy.

3. Quantitative Aptitude- Quantitative Aptitude section was of Moderate level.The questions asked were doable. No simplification/approximation was asked.

4. English Language: The level of English Language section was easy to moderate.

Exam Analysis of ESIC SSO Quantitative Aptitude Section 

Following topics were asked in the Quantitative Aptitude section:

1. Number Series : 5 Qs (Moderate) - Wrong number series was asked.  Questions were based on basic arithmetic calculations or their combination.  3 questions out of 5 were easily doable. 
2. Data Interpretation: 15 Qs (Moderate) 

• Topic Details: A Mixed DI set including a Pie chart and a table was asked. Total number of students was given (2000). The number of females were given in the table. Percentage of students of five different categories were presented in the form of pie chart. 
• A Line DI was asked in which data related to 5 stores and dealers were provided.
• Another DI was caselet based. The data was provided on people participating in different activities (Zumba Classes). 
1. Quadratic Equation: 05 Qs (Easy) 
2. Arithmetic: 10 Qs (Moderate) - This section included questions from Time & Work, Speed Time Distance, Profit Loss etc. 5-6 questions were easily doable out of these 10. 

ESIC SSO Prelims Exam Analysis 2018: Reasoning Ability

Following topics were asked in the Reasoning Ability section:

1. Puzzles & Seating Arrangement: 03 Puzzles - 15 Qs (Easy-Moderate)
1. Linear Arrangement: 6 persons were seated in a single row. Another parameter was cities of the persons.
2. Circular Arrangement: Data related to 10 persons were given. In this some persons were facing outward direction and some were facing inward direction.
3. Box-based puzzle: The data related to 6 boxes were provided.
2. Inequality: 05 Qs (Easy)
3. Blood Relation: 03 Qs (Easy)
4. Direction Sense: 03 Qs (Moderate) 
5. Syllogism: 05 Qs (Easy-Moderate) 
6. Coding-decoding: 05 Qs (Easy-Moderate) - Old pattern were asked.

ESIC SSO Prelims Exam Analysis: English Language

1. Reading Comprehension: 08 Qs (Moderate) - Topic: The passage was based on "Life Insurance and Profess Insurance". 
1. There were 2 questions of vocabulary based i.e Antonyms, Synonyms questions.
2. One word asked was 'Liability'.
3. Another word asked was 'Exigency'.
2. Parajumble: 05 Qs (Easy) - Topic: Students were required to arrange the given sentences in a proper order. 
3. Spotting Errors: 06 Qs (Easy) 
4. Word Arrangement: 05 Qs (Easy) 
5. Spelling Error: 05 Qs (Easy) 
6. Fill in the blanks: 05 Qs (Easy) - Single fillers were asked.

If you have clear concepts & practiced enough, then you will surely clear the ESIC SSO Prelims Exam . Also, keep your prerequisites i.e print out of ESIC SSO Admit Card, photocopy of identity proof, original identity card, photographs for the exam ready.
