Intelligence Bureau IB ACIO Tier II Exam Analysis – 25th Feb 2018
The Ministry of Home Affairs is recruiting for Intelligence Bureau – Assistant Central Intelligence Officer. There are a total oF 1430 vacancies to be filled. The Prelims Exam for IB ACIO was conducted on 15th October 2017 in an offline mode and the results were declared for the same. Following the process, IB ACIO Tier II took place today i.e 25th February 2018 which was a descriptive paper of 50 marks.

IB ACIO Tier II 2018 : Exam Pattern
The Ter II exam is of 50 marks and will consist questions from two subjects.

- The Tier II is of 50 marks.
- This is a Written Descriptive Paper.
- The Minimum Cut off for Tier II is 33%.
IB ACIO Tier II Exam Analysis Section Wise
The IB ACIO Exam for Tier II is a descriptive paper and took place in a single shift i.e from 11 AM to 12 Noon. There was a slight variation in the exam pattern as well as three questions were asked instead of two questions as mentioned in the official notification. Now let’s have a look at the overview of the question paper below:
1. Essay Writing
- Three topics were given out of which one was to be attempted.
- The maximum word limit was not more than 400 words.
- 30 marks were allotted to essay writing.
Questions Asked
- Social Media, a boon or a bane for security agencies?
- Do you agree that the world war will be fought over water unless we change the way we manage it? Justify your contention.
- There is no honour in honour killing. Discuss in the context of the Indian Society.
2. Reading Comprehension
- One Reading Comprehension was asked.
- There were five questions to be answered on the basis of the Comprehension.
- Each question carried 2 marks each and the total marks was 10.
Questions Asked
- A comprehension based on the ultimate aim of Policing.
3. Precis Writing
- There was one Precis Writing and no options were given.
- This consisted on 10 marks.
Questions Asked
- It was based on Police Organisation & it’s functioning and the stressed handled by the Policemen.
