1. (a) 26 September
The United Nations General Assembly declared 26 September as the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons in December 2013 through its resolution A/RES/68/32.

2. (d) INS Tarasa
INS Tarasa was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 26 September 2017 at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai. INS Tarasa (T94) is a patrol vessel of the Car Nicobar-class of Indian Navy and the last ship in the series of four Water Jet Fast Attack Craft. 

3. (a) Thaawarchand Gehlot
Thaawarchand Gehlot, the Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, launched the beta version of an accessible and comprehensive mobile App “Divyang Sarathi” in New Delhi for easy information dissemination to Divyangjans. The unique features of the App are its audio notes embedded in it which converts the written information into an audio file. 

4. (b) PENCIL
Rajnath Singh launched a web portal called ‘PENCIL’ for effective implementation of National Child Labour Project (NCLP) in New Delhi. PENCIL stands for Platform for Effective Enforcement for No Child Labour that is developed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Prime minister Narendra Modi recently constituted Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (PMEAC) under the chairmanship of NITI Aayog member Bibek Debroy. The 5-member Economic Advisory Council (EAC) will address the issues of macroeconomic importance.

The World Maritime Day was celebrated across the world on 28 September 2017 with the theme ‘Connecting Ships, Ports and People’.The idea behind introducing the theme is to provide an opportunity to focus on the many diverse actors involved in the shipping and logistics areas.
