OICL AO 2017 Exam Pattern and Syllabus: We know that without having proper syllabus candidates can’t perform well in the written exam. The Information About Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) Administrative Officer (AO) exam is an objective type question consist of the Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude questions. Each subject consists of the 40 question for 40 Marks with time duration of 120 mins. And other details check the below-given table.
OICL AO Exam: Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on the following phase:
- Phase – I: Preliminary Examination
- Phase – II: Main Examination
- Phase – III: Interview
OICL AO Exam pattern and syllabus:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Objective Type
Preliminary Examination Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each test by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Company (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Phase-II: Main Examination: OICL AO Exam
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.
(i) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks.

(ii) Descriptive Test:
The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.
Phase – III: Interview
Interview Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company, up to three times the number of vacancies of respective stream/category. The interview will be conducted at select centers.
