The Vacancies of Stenographer Grade “C” and Stenographers Grade “D” are in Ministries/Departments of Central Government and Subordinate offices located all over the country. The Staff Selection Commission will Computer Based Examination for Recruitment of Stenographer Grade “C”(Group B Non-gazetted) and Stenographer Grade “D”, Group “C” Non-Gazetted in the month of September 2017.

The SSC Stenographer is a computer based exam. The paper includes three subjects having multiple choice questions – Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language & comprehension. In this article we give important tips for preparing English for SSC Stenographer 2017.

The SSC Stenographer application from comprises of two parts – Part 1 and Part 2. While Part 1 comprises of filling basic information like name, roll number and class 10, date of birth and gender. The Part 2 of the SSC stenographer application form comprises of uploading scanned photograph and Signature as per the specification given in the notification, submission of application form and payment of fees.

SSC Stenographer Job Profile:

As a Stenographer, your work profile will depend upon where you are posted.
Stenographer Grade C are posted in Ministries/Departments of Central Government, located mostly in Delhi.
Stenographer Grade D are grouped as under:
  • Group 'X' - For Departments of Central Government located mostly in Delhi.
  • Group 'Y' - For Departments of Central Government including all over the country.
The duties and responsibilities you will be responsible for will be:
  • Speech Writing
  • Press Conference Briefings
  • Assisting the Minister or Officer
  • Helping in Public Relations

SSC Stenographer Work Timings:

As a Stenographer, you will have a proper work schedule. Daily you will be going in the morning and coming back to your home in the evening, no extra work hours and working in shifts.

The salary of Stenographer varies as per the grade you are in
