RBI Grade B Exam Analysis  2017 - Phase I (Section Wise)

Total 200 questions were asked from different sections which carried a total of 200 marks. Overall level of the exam was Moderate to Difficult. The analysis has been presented based on the reviews shared by our readers who appeared for the exam. RBI Grade B Exam Analysis 2017: English Language

This section was comprised of 30 Questions with a total of 30 marks and was of moderate level. Questions were asked from following topics-
  • Reading Comprehension - One RC was asked & it was based on Currency. (4 Questions were based on Synonyms - Antonyms) 
  • Double Statement - 3-4 Questions
  • Para Completion - 2-3 Questions
  • Sentence Correction - 5 Questions 
  • Sentence Connectors - 5 Questions

RBI Grade B Phase I Analysis 2017: Reasoning Ability

This section was of Moderate level comprised of 60 questions with a total weight of 60 marks. Following topics were asked in this section-
  •  Inequality - 5 Questions (3 Questions were direct)
  • Puzzles/Seating Arrangement - 4 sets 
Linear Arrangement (double row based)lecture based (Scheduling)Blood relation based Puzzle
  • Data Sufficiency - 5 Questions
  • Syllogism - 5 Questions
  • Input - Output - 5 Questions
  • Logical Reasoning  - Around 10 Questions
  • Miscellaneous - Around 10 Questions were asked from this section. This involved questions from Blood Relations, Direction sense.

RBI Grade B Exam Analysis of Quantitative Aptitude Section

This section was more difficult and was comprised of 30 questions. Topics asked from this section included following-
  • Data Interpretation - 3 sets (Mixed DI (Both Line & Tabular was asked in this DI & it was based on pipe & cisterns) (Double Pie Chart) & ( Caselets )
  • Data Sufficiency 2 Questions
  • Mathematical Inequality - 3 Questions 
  • Miscellaneous - Remaining 10 questions of this section were miscellaneous from Time Speed and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss etc.

RBI Grade B Exam Analysis: General Awareness

There were 80 questions in this section and they carried a total of 80 marks. Maximum questions asked in this section were based on Financial affairs. There were some questions (8-10) based on Static GK as well as static banking awareness & Around 15-20 Questions based on Banking Awareness.
