French Open 2017
The second grand slam of the year, French Open 2017 concluded recently. This was the 116th edition of this tennis tournament. French Open 2017 was conducted from 28th May to 11th June 2017. This tournament took place at Stade Roland Garros Stadium, in Paris, France.
The event involved matches in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles categories. Earlier the first grand slam of the year, Australian Open 2017 was conducted in January at Melbourne. Organised by International Tennis Federation (ITF), the second grand slam, French Open is a part of ATP World Tour 2017 and WTA Tour 2017 (under Grand Slam Category).
Founded in 1891, this tournament is conducted on Clay court. French Open carries a prize money of 36,000,000 Euros. French Open is alternatively known as Roland-Garros.
