SBI PO Prelims 2017 Exam Day Strategy
First, have a look at the must do’s for this exam -
- First and foremost, do not forget to carry your Admit card. You also need to carry original and a xerox of your Identity proof. This can include Passport/PAN Card/Driving License/Voter’s Card/Bank Passbook with duly attested photograph/Identity Card issued by College or Institute/Identity Card issued by Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original/ Unique Identification Card (Aadhar).
- Do not forget to paste your image on the admit card, which should be the same as that of the image uploaded on application form.
- Make sure that you reach your exam centre at least 30 minutes before time in order to prevent any last minute troubles.
Keep in mind the following -
- Don’t freak out if you come across any new question in the exam. Stay calm and go through the question with a clear head.
- Make sure that you read the instructions provided in the questions carefully. For instance, don’t start attempting the syllogism question unless you are sure that you need to mark the answers that definitely follow or definitely don’t follow. Such silly errors could cost you precious marks.
- Always start with your strongest section. If you are able to attempt around 10 questions in the first 10 minutes of the exam, you automatically feel confident enough for the remaining set.
- Try not to spend too much time on any particular question. If you are stuck on any question, it would be better to skip it and move on to the next.
- Try to complete the questions in the time that you have allotted for that particular section.
- Avoid guess work in exam.

We would like to share a story with you now. Ever heard of Károly Takács??
The Hungarian hero used to be one of the top pistol shooters in the world. People had been pitching for him to win gold in 1940 Tokyo Olympics. However, his journey wasn’t as smooth as expected. Before this olympic, a grenade exploded in his hand during one of the training sessions, blowing it off.
Takács lost his shooting arm but his attitude after that was not the one many would expect. He did not dwell over what he had lost, rather he focussed on what he had. He started practicing from his left hand and left many dumbstruck when he won the Hungarian national pistol shooting championship of 1939. 1940 and 1944 olympics were cancelled because of world war. To everyone’s surprise, Takács competed in 1948 summer olympics in london and won gold. He kept up with his passion and won another gold in 1952 summer olympics in Helsinki.
Károly Takács is an epitome of sheer determination and hard work. He showed the world, the wonders one can do when you set your heart and mind at something. Hope you all understood what we wished to point out from his story. No matter what may come your way, never ever give up.
