The total time was 1 hour i.e. 60 minutes. Hence, Speed, Accuracy and Planning is surely needed to have good number of attempts with maximum accuracy.
SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for English Language Section
Beginning our paper review with English Section, this section was quite easily solvable. The English Section in SBI PO Prelims Paper (Shift 1) could be broadly divided into 3 sections – Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test and Spotting errors, with 10 questions each.- Reading Comprehension – 10 Qs – Easy – Based on “China Economy“.
- Antonyms & Synonyms – 2-3 Qs – Easy
- Cloze Test – 10 Qs – Moderate (asked in new way) – Based on “Innovation and Technology”
- Phrase Replacement – 10 Qs- Moderate – Based on Sentence improvement.
SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Reasoning Section
Turning our attention towards Reasoning Ability, this section was a surprise for a lot of candidates. A lot of difficult puzzles were added this year in the mix and a number of candidates were not able to identify those.

- Linear Arrangement – 5 Qs – Moderate
- Floor Puzzle – 5Qs – Difficult
- Puzzle – 5 Qs – Moderate – Based on Blood Relation

- Coding decoding – 3 Qs – Easy

SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Quants Section
A lot of candidates found the Maths section to be quite moderate to attempt. The level of difficulty of Quant Section in SBI PO Prelims (Slot 1) was slightly Moderate.
