SBI PO Pre Exam Analysis 2017, Expected Cutoff 30 April 2017 - 4th Slot


The State Bank of India has started its recruitment for the year 2017. The SBI PO Prelims Exam is taking place for the Recruitment of Probationary Officer. With over 2313 vacancies announced for the post of Probationary Officers this SBI PO Exam. It is very important to know the SBI PO Analysis of Prelims for each stage of the exam. 

SBI PO Preliminary Exam 2017 started yesterday (29th April 2017). The second set of this exam will be conducted today, i.e. 30th April in 4 different slots. We have provided the exam analysis of SBI PO Prelims Exam 2017 for 30th April 2017 Now.

The total time was 1 hour i.e. 60 minutes. Hence, Speed, Accuracy and Planning is surely needed to have good number of attempts with maximum accuracy.

Overall difficulty level of the SBI PO Prelims exam Forth Shift 2017 was Moderate, No change in pattern as compare to previous shifts.



SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for English Language Section

    In English section, 10 questions came from Phrase correction topic which was something new for the candidates. Cloze Test is based on word correction type and . Rest topic were same as compare to previous bank exams.


    Reading Comprehension/Passage – 1 Set (10 Questions) (Based on Cyber Security)
    Note : Synonym and Antonyms (4 Questions) are also asked in Reading comprehension
    Cloze Test – 10 Questions  [Word correction - technology affect China Literature]
    Phrase Replacement/Sentence Correction – 10 Questions 

    SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Reasoning Section

    Reasoning is of Moderate level and out of 4 Puzzles, two were doable but time taking. Rest topics are doable which were based on coding decoding, Inequality, Direction sense, blood relation, Order ranking etc.


    Puzzles – 4 Sets (20 Questions)
    • Linear Arrangement (8 persons facing north having different age)
    • Floor Puzzle [ 8 people living on 8 floors with one variable] 
    • Comparison Based Puzzle   [Word correction - technology affect China Literature]
    • Puzzle Based on Seminar conducted on two dates of Different Months
    Inequality - 5 Questions (3 questions were direct and 2 questions had conclusion given)
    Blood Relation & Direction Sense – 5 Questions
    Coding decoding, Alpha Numeric Series & Order Ranking - 5 Questions
    Note : No Syllogism was asked in the exam

    SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis for Quants Section

    Quantitative Aptitude was the easiest section in all the three sections and of  Moderate level. Number Series and Quadratic equation are the topics in which candidate can secure full marks. 

    Simplification/Approximation – 10 Questions
    Number Series – 5 Questions (Same pattern as that of previous slot)
    Data Interpretation – 2 Set (10 Question) [Tabular and line graph] (Tabular graph based on registered voters)
    Quadratic Equations - 5 Questions (Direct Questions)
    Miscellaneous  – 10 Questions  (based on Compound/Simple Interest, Time & Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Profit Loss, Probability , Mensuration, Age, Mixture Allegation, Partnership, Average, Boats & Stream etc. )
