CAT 2016 results have been declared today (Date). You can check result of CAT 2016 on the official website. CAT Entrance Exam 2016 was conducted by IIM Bangalore on 4th December 2016 (Sunday) in two slots for the admission to MBA program in IIMs and other B-schools of India. The test for CAT 2016 was taken by approximate two lakh candidates.CAT result is declared on the official website in the online mode. The IIMs and other B-schools will shortlist the candidates based on these scores. They will release the list of shortlisted candidates in the coming one-two weeks for the further rounds of evaluation. To get shortlisted, the candidates have to clear the total cutoff along with the sectional cut offset by the respective B-schools. The shortlisted candidates undergo the further process of Group Discussion, WAT and PI.

CAT 2016 Score Card: Details Mentioned
- Scorecard of CAT 2016 contains the detailed information about your score. It contains the information about:
- The CAT registration number of the candidate. The other registration details including the Name, Date of birth, category, gender and the date and time of the Examination.Overall scaled score of the candidate and the overall percentile. Scaled scores for all the three sections and the individual percentiles: RC & verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability.
CAT 2016: What After Result Declaration?
- The further round of selection procedure differs from IIMs to IIMs.
- There is no requirement to apply separately for IIMs, however, the other B-schools require a separate application for admission. To know about the colleges through CAT and how to apply to them, click here.
- The candidates are shortlisted based on the overall cut off and sectional cut off set by the respective institutes. There are other parameters as well for the selection criteria like the work experience and the marks scored in the 12th and 10thstandard. The IIMs and other participating institutes will send the call letters for interviews to the shortlisted candidates.
- The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the further rounds of Group Discussion, Written Assessment Test and Persona Interview. The final result is generated on the overall performance of the candidate though these further rounds along with the scores obtained in CAT 2016.
