IBPS Clerk Exam Analysis 3rd Dec (Shift 4)
Continuing our series, this article entails IBPS Clerk Exam Analysis, Paper Review and Level of Difficulty of each section asked in today’s preliminary examination i.e 3 December 2016 (Shif 4).
Before we begin our paper review, lets get some basics out first. As we all know, the exam was composed of 3 sections i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language. The exam pattern in details is as follows.

The total time was 1 hour i.e. 60 minutes. Hence, Speed, Accuracy and Planning is surely needed to have good number of attempts with maximum accuracy. As of today, IBPS Clerk Prelims paper’s overall Level of difficulty was Easy to Moderate.

- Reading Comprehension- 10 Questions ( Story based) Synonyms & Antonyms & 1 idiom asked.
- Cloze Test- 10 Questions
- Spotting the errors – 10 Questions (Moderate)
Most candidates secured marks in this section by solving Cloze Test questions. A good attempt in this section would be 15-18 questions.
IBPS Clerk Exam Analysis for Reasoning Ability Section
- Good Attempts: 19-23 Questions
- Level of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
The topic-wise review and distribution is as follows.
- Inequality – 5 Questions (easy)
- Linear Arrangement 8 people facing North – 5 Questions
- Linear Arrangement 8 people – Two parallel rows ( 4-4 in each row) – 5 Questions
- Circular Arrangement 8 people facing Center – 5 Questions
- Alphabetical Series – 5 Questions
- Alphanumeric symbol series – 5 Questions
- Miscellaneous – 5 Questions (Blood Relation,Coding-decoding,word formation..etc)
Reasoning Section has followed the same pattern again as we can see that Puzzles and Siting arrangement topics occupied a major portion of questions. A good attempt in this section would be 19-23 questions.
IBPS Clerk Exam Analysis for Quantitative Aptitude Section
- Good Attempts: 18-20 Questions
- Level of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
The topic-wise review and distribution is as follows.
- Number Series – 5 Questions (easy)
- Simplification/Approximation –15 Questions (easy)
- Data Interpretation (1 Sets) – 5 Questions [ Tabular DI ]
- Miscellaneous Questions – 10 Questions (Moderate) Age, Probability, Partnership, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Time & Work, etc.
The misc. questions consists of Simple and Compound Interest, Time Speed and Distance, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Averages, Ratio, Mensuration etc. DI Questions were major score point in this paper.
