IBPS PO VI Pre Exam Analysis & Expected Cutoff – 27th October 2016 (Slot- 3)

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducted the preliminary examination for IBPS CWE PO/ MT today. The Written Examination was conducted online, in 4 different slots. This article focuses on IBPS PO Exam Analysis, Prelims Paper Review, Number of Good Attempts and Expected IBPS PO Prelims Cut off for getting shortlisted for the mains examination.

The Preliminary phase of the IBPS PO/MT VI Exam had started from 16th October 2016. The Fourth & the final set of the exam is scheduled today. The 3rd slot of the exam was scheduled for 2 pm – 3 pm. We are now going to provide you the analysis of this slot of the exam.

The candidates will have to qualify in all the three sections separately. They will have to secure the sectional and overall cutoff as well to qualify the exam.

The level of the exam was Moderate.

I. English Language (30 Qs)
Level – Moderate

(i) Reading Comprehension – 7 Questions – (Moderate)
(ii) Cloze Test – 8 Questions (Easy) (Based on Economy of China)
(iii) Spotting Error/ Sentence Correction – 10 Questions (Moderate)
(iv) Para jumbles – 5 Questions (Moderate)
Note:- No Synonym Antonym questions were asked

2. Reasoning Ability (35 Qs)
Level – Moderate

1. Puzzle (floor based) – 5 Qs – (Moderate)
2. Seating arrangement (circular)- 5 Qs facing inward outward (State as other parameter)
3. Linear Seating Arrangement – 5 Qs – 8 persons facing north & south
4. Inequality (Direct)- 5 Qs (Easy)
5. Direction – 3 Qs (Easy to moderate)
6. Blood Relation – 3 Qs (Moderate) 
7. Syllogism – 5 Qs (Easy)
8. Rest Miscellaneous

3. Quantitative Aptitude (35 Qs)
Level – Moderate

1. Number Series – 5 Qs (Moderate)
2. Data Interpretation (2 Sets) – 10 Questions (Easy to Moderate) (Line graph – based on percentage and Tabular graph)
3. Approximation – 5 Qs (Easy)
4. Quadratic Equation – 5 Qs (Easy)
5. Miscellaneous – 10 Qs (Moderate)

Note: No Missing D
Miscellaneous questions include – Age, Probability, Partnership, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Time & Work, etc.

Good Attempts –

1. English Language          : 20 - 22
2. Reasoning Ability          : 18 - 20
3. Quantitative Aptitude     : 20 - 22
