IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam Analysis:  Dear Aspirants, as you all know IBPS is start conducting the RRB PO Exam ( Officer Scale -1 ) Prelims 2017 Exam and here we are providing you the Detailed Exam Review of IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam Analysis 10th Sep 2017 - Shift 3

The Exam for RRB PO will be held in total 5 slots. 
So, without wasting any moment, let's get straight to the analysis for which you are all waiting for. There were no major changes in this shift and the level and types of questions asked were similar to previous shifts. 

Over-All  IBPS RRB PO Prelims 2017-18 Exam Analysis

As per the exam syllabus and pattern for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Examination, there were 80 questions in total. Each question carried 1 mark and the total time to solve the paper was 45 minutes.

IBPS RRB Officer Pre Exam Analysis for Quant Section

In the quantitative aptitude section of IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I, the level of the questions asked in reasoning section ranged from Moderate but a bit calculative. 

  1. There were three sets of DI that were asked in this section: DI type - Pie chart, Line Graph, Tabular DI.
  2. Questions were covered from the topics of Quadratic Equation, Approximation, Profit & Loss etc.
  3. Simplification/ Approximation - 5 Qs - Moderate Questions were not very calculative and could be attempted easily. 
  4. Questions were mostly factorization based, and easy to attempt.

IBPS RRB Officer Pre Exam Analysis for Reasoning Section

The level of Reasoning Ability was Moderate .There were 4 Seating Arrangements and Puzzles: Month related (2 variable), Linear (North-South) (1 variable), Circular Based (1 variable), Box (1 variable). The other topics that were covered are Inequality, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding etc.

  1. Syllogism - 2 Questions were easy to attempt based on the old pattern. There were no possibility based questions
  2. Inequality - 5 Questions Direct inequality based questions were asked. There were no questions from coded inequality. 
  3. Puzzles & Seating Arrangement - 20 
    • i. Circular Arrangement: 8 people facing the centre and some facing outside.
    • ii. Linear Arrangement: 6 Some people sitting in 2 rows, some facing north and some facing south.
    • iii. Scheduling puzzle: Month based puzzle with 7 people. -July to December - people born in different months 
    • iv. Box based puzzle - 8 box - 5 Qs - Tough 
  4. The questions from this section were mostly order and ranking based.
  5. There were questions where a word was provided and one had to answer the maximum number of words that can be framed from it. 
  6. Alphabet Series - 1 Qs A simple set of alphabets was provided and the questions were easy to attempt. 
  7. Coding-Decoding - 5 Qs - old pattern Questions were asked from sentence coding and were easy to attempt.
