IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2017: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released it’s IBPS Clerk Notification 2017. IBPS has announced over 7883 vacancies in Clerical Cadre posts in 19 banks. According to the IBPS Clerk Notification 2017, the recruitment process involves two online examinations – Prelims and Mains. The exams are tentatively scheduled for December 2017 & January 2018. Candidates applying IBPS Clerk VI Examination 2017 must satisfy the criteria mentioned below:

Qualification for IBPS Clerk 2017:

  • A degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by Govt. of India, or any equivalent qualification.
  • The candidate should have valid marks sheet.
  • Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer Systems are mandatory. You should have a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Computer Operations/ Language or should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/ College/ Institute.
  • Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT is preferable. You should be able to read, write and speak it.
  • Note: All results must be declared on or before 3rd October 2017.

Age Limit for IBPS Clerk 2017:

Candidates must have attained the age of 20 years and must not be above 28 years of age. However, there will be a relaxation of the upper age limitations for applicants belonging to the reserved categories.

Nationality:

  • Applicants must be the citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan.
  • Tibetan refugees who had migrated to India before January 1, 1962 to settle down in India permanently can also apply.
  • Applicants of Indian origin who had migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam are also eligible to apply for IBPS Clerk VI 2017.
  • (Note: Such candidates are required to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India)
