IBPS RRB Syllabus & Exam Pattern for Officer Scale 1 Exam 2017

IBPS RRB syllabus Officer Scale 1 syllabus and exam pattern for Mains 2017 will be updated whenever the official notification is out. As the IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 syllabus & exam pattern remains almost unchanged so, you can go through it below. 

As you all know, from last year, IBPS made some changes in the pattern of the RRB Officer Scale I & Office Assistant exam. A new scheme of selection was introduced from the last recruitment onwards. Many candidates have queries regarding the Syllabus and Exam Pattern of IBPS RRB Prelim Exam. To make the best out of this opportunity, we are sharing the detailed pattern and expected IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 syllabus.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Exam Pattern for Preliminary phase

The Selection Process of the IBPS RRB Exam consists of 3 phases which are given below:

  1. Phase I: Online Preliminary Examination (Objective Test)
  2. Phase II: Online Mains Examination (Objective Test)
  3. (iii) Phase III: Interview


NOTE:   
  • IBPS RRB Prelims Exam is of qualifying nature.
  • Marks obtained in IBPS RRB mains examination only will be counted for interview call.
  • Final merit list will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in Mains exam & Interview.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in prelims & mains.
  • There will be sectional as well as over-all cut off in prelims & mains both, so make sure you check IBPS RRB cut off 2016. 
  • There is no Descriptive test in phase II of the IBPS RRBs V Exam.

Pattern of IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Prelims Exam 

The IBPS RRB prelim exam will have total 80 questions which will be spread over two section which includes - Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude. The duration of the exam is 45 minutes. The rule of sectional & overall cutoff implies in the prelim exam. The marks secured in IBPS RRB Phase I (Prelim Exam) will not be counted for the purpose of final Selection. This is a qualifying round.

  • Seating Arrangement- Linear
  • Puzzle - Floor based, days based, colour, etc.
  • Syllogism

  • Miscellaneous - Ranking/Direction/Alphabet test, Blood relation
  • Inequality

II. Quantitative Aptitude

  • Miscellaneous questions from different topics like - Ratio & Proportion, Percentage & Averages, Profit & Loss, Mixtures & Allegations, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Work & Time, Time & Distance

III. English/ Hindi Language

Note: The level of both Officer Scale 1 & Office Assistant Exam will be easy.
At last - The success mantra to crack IBPS RRB prelims is to attempt and mark the answer with 100% accuracy. Speed & time management will also play a vital role in cracking the exam. All you need is to solve questions and practice the Mock tests with fixed time duration. After each mock test, analyse where you lack, in which section and questions you are doing mistakes. Try not to repeat the same mistake in next test.
