NICL AO Recruitment  2017 notification is out. To help you all with the online registration of NICL AO, we are sharing some frequently asked questions. These FAQs will be helpful for you while filling out the NICL AO Application form. Online Registration for NICL (National Insurance Company Limited) AO 2017 will start from 30.03.2017.

Question : What is the opening and closing date for online registration of NICL Assistant 2017 Exam?
  • The Online registration for NICL Assistant 2017 will open on 30thMarch 2017 and will close on 20th April, 2017.


Question : When will the NICL Assistant 2017 Exam be conducted?
  • NICL Assistant 2017 Prelims will be conducted tentatively on 3rd and 4th June, 2017. Mains phase of NICL Assistant will be conducted tentatively on 2nd July, 2017.


Question : How many vacancies have been released by NICL this year?
  • NICL has released the notification for 205 posts which include 31 (SC), 16 (ST), 45 (OBC) and 113 (General) posts.


Question : What is the eligibility criteria for NICL Assistant 2017?
  • A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.


Question : I am in the final year of graduation. Am I eligible for this exam?
  • No, you are not eligible unless you have the degree certificate of graduation/ post-graduation up to 20.04.2017. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate of the necessary qualification as on 20.04.2017


Question : I have scored 59.99% marks in graduation. Am I eligible for NICL 2017?
  • No, you are not eligible, 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.


Question : What is the Application fee for NICL 2017?

  • Application fees is payable from 30.03.2017 to 20.04.2017 (both dates inclusive).

Question : How many times can I appear for this exam?
  • There is no such mention of minimum or maximum number of attempts in the official notification. You should just fulfil the eligibility criteria. 


Question : What is the age limit for NICL 2017 exam?

  • A candidate must be a minimum 21 years old and maximum 30 years old as on.01.03.2017, i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.03.1987 and not later than 01.03.1996 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

Question : In how many phases, exam will be conducted?
  • Exam will be conducted in three phases i.e.
  • Phase(i): Preliminary Examination: 
  • Phase (ii):Mains Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 Marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.
  • Phase (iii): Interview
  • Candidates who have been shortlisted based on online Phase – II (Mains Examination) will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company. Interview will be conducted at select centers.


Question : What will be the subjects?

  • Reasoning Ability, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude will be asked in Preliminary Exam.
  • In addition to the above Computer Knowledge and General Awareness will be asked in Mains Examination.



Question : Is there any penalty for wrong answers?
  • Yes, there will be penalty for wrong answers in both Prelims and Mains Examination.


Question : How can I apply for NICL 2017?
  • In order to apply for NICL 2017, candidates will have to register themselves online through Company's website nationalinsuranceindia.com and open the appropriate Online Application Form, available in the current openings. After completing the registration form, candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using Debit Cards (Rupay! Visa! Master! Maestro), Credit cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards! Mobile Wallets.


Question : Is there any Guarantee Bond to serve the company?
  • Yes, there is a bond for 4 years to serve the company. Selected Candidate has to give an undertaking to serve the Company for a minimum period of four years including probation period.
  • Make sure that you save a copy of the online Application form since it would be required at the time of Interview.
