# SSC CGL Tier-I Exam Overall Analysis - 30th August 2016

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis: The day 4 of SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination received almost equal number of candidates as that of the previous days. The SSC CGL is being conducted online for the very first time. Similar to our previous articles, we will be giving an in-depth analysis for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam held on 30 August 2016

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2016
The Online Recruitment Paper consisted of the Objective type Questions. As per the revised pattern, the Tier 1 Examination consisted of 100 Questions divided into 4 sections i.e Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness carrying 200 marks in total.

Just like yesterday, the difficulty level of questions in SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was Moderate. Let us dig deeper into Section-Wise Exam Review.

Section-Wise SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Analysis 2016

As explained above, there were 4 sections in SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I). The overall level of difficulty was Moderate, with the majority of questions asked being a bit of a task to solve. But, there were a few easy ones too. Let us elaborate further by analysing each section of SSC CGL Tier-I 2016.

### Reasoning Aptitude

The reasoning section was Easy. Maximum questions were asked from the following sections.

Most of the questions were from the topic of Series including number and alphabet series both. Few questions were High Level Reasoning as well as Classification, Picture Diagram etc. Candidates having good reasoning knowledge and practice can attempt 20-22 questions easily.

### Quantitative Aptitude

The Quantitative Aptitude section was Easy to Moderate. Questions were asked mostly from the following topics:

Most of the questions were from the topic of Bar Chart. The level of difficulty for most of the questions was easy. Questions based on Trigonometry were a little challenging. Candidates having good arithmetic knowledge and practice can attempt 16-18 questions easily.
English Language
The English Language section was Easy to Moderate, just like quantitative aptitude. Attempting 14-16 questions will be considered as a good attempt. Most of the questions were easy to answer. Topics such as Sentence Correction, One word Substitution and Idioms/Phrases were a little challenging. The topic-wise distribution is as follows:

### General Awareness

Unlike previous papers, the General Awareness Section of SSC CGL Tier 1 was Moderate. Attempting 14-16 questions will be considered as a good attempt. Most of the questions were from History and Current Affairs. Special focus was given to static portion but some National current affairs were also there in the paper. The topic-wise distribution is as follows:
