प्रीति सिन्हा बनी संयुक्त राष्ट्र पूंजी विकास कोष की अध्यक्ष
- संयुक्त राष्ट्र पूंजी विकास कोष ने भारतीय मूल के निवेश और विकास बैंकर प्रीति सिन्हा को अपनी कार्यकारी सचिव के रूप में नियुक्त किया है, जो संस्थान में सर्वोच्च पद है। वह जूडिथ कार्ल की जगह लेंगी। वह महिलाओं, युवाओं, छोटे और मध्यम आकार के उद्यमों में अल्प-सेवा वाले समुदायों को सूक्ष्म वित्त सहायता प्रदान करने पर फोकस करके काम करेंगे।
- न्यूयॉर्क स्थित संयुक्त राष्ट्र पूंजी विकास कोष, UNDP से संबद्ध एक स्वायत्त संयुक्त राष्ट्र संगठन है. इसकी स्थापना 1966 में हुई थी।
- UNCDF का मूल आज्ञापत्र: विकासशील देशों को उनकी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं के विकास में पूंजीगत सहायता के मौजूदा स्रोतों को अनुदान और ऋण के माध्यम से सहायता प्रदान करना।
- संगठन दुनिया के 47 कम विकसित देशों (LDC) को सूक्ष्म-वित्त प्रदान करता है, जिससे उन्हें सार्वजनिक और निजी वित्त की पूरी क्षमता को अनलॉक करने में मदद मिल सके।

राजनाथ सिंह ने कैंट बोर्ड को ऑनलाइन नागरिक सेवाओं के लिए ई-छावनी पोर्टल लॉन्च किया
- रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने हाल ही में एक ऑनलाइन पोर्टल ई-छावनी ’और मोबाइल ऐप लॉन्च किया, जिससे देश भर के छावनी बोर्डों के निवासियों के लिए आसानी से जीवनयापन’ और आसानी से ’करने की सुविधा मिल सके। Online ई-छावनी ’पोर्टल भारत के सभी 62 छावनी बोर्डों में 20 लाख से अधिक नागरिकों को घर बैठे ही ऑनलाइन नगरपालिका सेवाएं प्रदान करेगा।

- छावनी क्षेत्रों के निवासी नागरिक मुद्दों के बारे में अपनी शिकायतें दर्ज कर सकते हैं और यहां तक कि पोर्टल पर ट्रेड लाइसेंस, सीवरेज कनेक्टिविटी अनुप्रयोगों जैसे अपने दस्तावेज भी प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

- प्राचीन कांच संस्कृति का प्रतीक, प्राचीन नाग संस्कृति का प्रतीक, रविवार को जम्मू और कश्मीर के चिनाब घाटी क्षेत्र में धार्मिक उत्साह और उल्लास के साथ मनाया गया।
- त्योहार स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा मनाया जाता है, मुख्य रूप से नाग अनुयायियों का मानना है कि गौरी तृतीया के दिन, भगवान शिव और देवी पार्वती का विवाह हुआ।
ओडिशा के सीएम ने भारत के सबसे बड़े हॉकी स्टेडियम का नाम रखा
- ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने मंगलवार को सुंदरगढ़ जिले के राउरकेला में भारत के सबसे बड़े हॉकी स्टेडियम, बिरसा मुंडा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हॉकी स्टेडियम की आधारशिला रखी।
- पटनायक ने यह घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि राउरकेला स्टेडियम का नाम स्वतंत्रता सेनानी बिरसा मुंडा के नाम पर रखा जाएगा, प्रस्तावित स्टेडियम हॉकी विश्व कप 2023 टूर्नामेंट की मेजबानी के लिए बनाया गया सबसे आधुनिक फील्ड हॉकी सुविधा है।
- स्टेडियम हॉकी के लिए वैश्विक स्टेडियम डिजाइन में एक नया बेंचमार्क होगा, जो दुनिया में सबसे अच्छे दर्शकों के अनुभवों में से एक की पेशकश करेगा और 20,000 से अधिक की अध्यक्षता में बैठे क्षमता के साथ, भारत का सबसे बड़ा हॉकी स्टेडियम बन जाएगा।
झारखंड के सीएम हेमंत सोरेन ने दुमका में उच्च न्यायालय की एक पीठ के गठन से संबंधित प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दी
- मुख्यमंत्री हेमंत सोरेन ने दुमका जिले में झारखंड उच्च न्यायालय की एक पीठ के गठन से संबंधित प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है। ज्ञात हो कि झारखंड उच्च न्यायालय के रांची में मुख्य पीठ के अलावा राज्य के किसी भी जिले में कोई भी पीठ कार्य नहीं कर रही है।
- दुमका जिले में झारखंड उच्च न्यायालय की पीठ की स्थापना के संबंध में, तत्कालीन मुख्य सचिव ने भवन निर्माण विभाग को भूमि चिह्नित करने का निर्देश दिया था। इसके अलावा, विधि विभाग द्वारा सुप्रीम कोर्ट और केंद्रीय कानून और न्याय मंत्रालय को पीठ के अधिकार क्षेत्र के बारे में एक पत्र भेजा गया था।
जम्मू और कश्मीर में गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए सेना ने पुणे स्थित फाउंडेशन के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन किया

पिनाराई विजयन ने कोझीकोड में जेंडर पार्क परिसर का उद्घाटन किया
- केरल के मुख्यमंत्री पिनाराई विजयन ने रविवार को कोझीकोड में लिंग पार्क परिसर का उद्घाटन किया। यह राज्य में लैंगिक समानता और सशक्तीकरण की दिशा में काम करने की पहल है।
- जेंडर पार्क परिसर एक 24 एकड़ का स्थान है जो विभिन्न परियोजनाओं, सांस्कृतिक और शैक्षणिक व्यस्तताओं के लिए एक अभिसरण केंद्र के रूप में कार्य करेगा।
- राज्य की राजधानी तिरुवनंतपुरम में मुख्यालय, कोझिकोड में अपने मुख्य परिसर के साथ, लिंग पार्क नीति, अनुसंधान, आर्थिक और सामाजिक पहल करता है जो एक न्यायसंगत और समान समाज के लिए काम करता है।
- यह सामाजिक न्याय विभाग के अधीन पाया गया और यह दुनिया में अपनी तरह का पहला स्थान है। वर्तमान में महिला और बाल विकास विभाग के तहत काम करते हुए, इसका लक्ष्य लिंग-संबंधी गतिविधियों के लिए एक प्रमुख अभिसरण बिंदु बनना है।
दिल्ली पुलिस ने प्राप्त की सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्चिंग टुकड़ी ट्रॉफी -2021
- केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने 15 फरवरी, 2021 को नई दिल्ली में गणतंत्र दिवस परेड 2021 में सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्च करने वाली टुकड़ी की ट्रॉफी प्रदान की। जाट रेजिमेंटल सेंटर ने त्रि-सेवाओं के बीच सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्चिंग टुकड़ी की ट्रॉफी प्राप्त की, जबकि केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों (CAPF) और अन्य सहायक सेवाओं में से दिल्ली पुलिस ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्चिंग टुकड़ी की ट्रॉफी प्राप्त की।
- जाट रेजिमेंटल सेंटर की ओर से ब्रिगेडियर आदर्श के बुटेल और सूबेदार मेजर (मानद कैप्टन) वीरेंद्र ने ट्रॉफी प्राप्त की और दिल्ली पुलिस की ओर से विशेष पुलिस आयुक्त रॉबिन हिबू और सहायक पुलिस आयुक्त विवेक भगत ने ट्रॉफी प्राप्त की। जजों के दो पैनल द्वारा मूल्यांकन के आधार पर दो प्रतियोगियों को नियुक्त किया गया था।

नमन ओझा ने क्रिकेट के सभी फोर्मट्स से किया संन्यास का ऐलान
- पूर्व भरतीय विकेटकीपर-बल्लेबाज नमन ओझा ने क्रिकेट के सभी फोर्मट्स से संन्यास की घोषणा कर दी है। उन्होंने 2000-01 में मध्य प्रदेश के लिए फर्स्ट क्लास श्रेणी में डेब्यू किया था।
- मध्य प्रदेश के 37 वर्षीय नमन के नाम रणजी ट्रॉफी में विकेटकीपर द्वारा सबसे अधिक आउट करने का रिकॉर्ड है। वे तीनों फोर्मट्स में भारत के लिए खेले, जिसमें एक टेस्ट, एक वनडे और दो T20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच शामिल हैं।

SpaceX ने 19 वां स्टारलिंक मिशन शुरू किया
- स्पेसएक्स ने 15 फरवरी को 19 वें स्टारलिंक मिशन के हिस्से के रूप में 60 और स्टारलिंक उपग्रहों को सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया, लेकिन फाल्कन 9 रॉकेट के पुन: प्रयोज्य प्रथम-चरण बूस्टर को उतारने में विफल रहा।
- स्पेसएक्स ने तुरंत खुलासा नहीं किया कि असफल लैंडिंग के दौरान क्या हुआ था। इससे पहले, स्पेसएक्स ने खुलासा किया था कि उसकी स्टारलिंक उपग्रह इंटरनेट सेवा में "अमेरिका और विदेश में 10,000 से अधिक उपयोगकर्ता हैं"।

- अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन (ISA) ने डॉ. अजय माथुर को आईएसए सदस्यों की पहली विशेष सभा में उनके चुनाव के बाद अपने नए महानिदेशक के रूप में घोषित किया है। डॉ. माथुर श्री उपेंद्र त्रिपाठी की जगह लेंगे, जो 2015 में आईएसए की स्थापना से महानिदेशक के रूप में कार्यरत थे।
- ISA सभी के लिए सुरक्षित, स्थायी और सस्ती सौर ऊर्जा के उपयोग की मांग को तेज करता है। इसका उद्देश्य केंद्रित वकालत, नीति और नियामक सहायता, क्षमता निर्माण, और कथित निवेश बाधाओं पर काबू पाने के माध्यम से 2030 तक सौर परियोजनाओं में $1 ट्रिलियन अमरीकी डालर से अधिक का निवेश करना है।

Preeti Sinha appointed to head United Nations Capital Development, Fund
- The UN Capital Development Fund has appointed Indian-origin investment and development banker Preeti Sinha as its Executive Secretary, the highest leadership rank in the institution. She succeeds Judith Karl. He will work with a focus on providing micro-finance assistance to women, youth, small and medium-sized enterprises in under-served communities.
- The New York-based United Nations Capital Development Fund is an autonomous UN organization affiliated with UNDP. It was established in 1966.
- The original mandate of UNCDF: to assist developing countries in the development of their economies by supplementing existing sources of capital assistance utilizing grants and loans.
- The organisation provides micro-finance access to the 47 Least Developed Countries (LDCs) of the world, to help them unlock the full potential of public and private finance.

Rajnath Singh launches e-Chhawani portal for online civic services to Cantt Boards
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently launched an online portal ‘e-Chhawani’ and mobile app, to facilitate ‘ease of living’ and ‘ease of doing’ for the residents of the Cantonment Boards across the country. The ‘e-Chhawani’ portal will provide online municipal services to more than 20 lakh citizens across all 62 Cantonment Boards of India while sitting at home.
- The portal can be accessed at https://echhawani.gov.in/
- The residents of cantonment areas can register their complaints regarding civic issues and even get their documents like trade licence, sewerage connectivity applications through the portal
- Jointly been developed by eGov Foundation, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Directorate General Defence Estates (DGDE), and National Informatics Centre (NIC).
- A cantonment board is a civic administration body in India under control of the Ministry of Defence. It takes care of mandatory duties such as the provision of public health, water supply, sanitation, primary education, and street lighting etc.
Kancho festival celebrated across J&K's Chenab valley
- The ancient Kanchoth festival, a symbol of ancient Nag culture, was observed with religious fervour and gaiety across Chenab valley region of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
- The festival is celebrated by locals, mainly Nag followers who believe that on this day of Gouri Tritiya, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married and the latter insisted on a throne made of snow as her wedding gift.
Odisha CM Lays Foundation of India’s Largest Hockey Stadium named
- Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of India's largest hockey stadium, Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, at Rourkela in Sundergarh district.
- Announcing that the Rourkela stadium will be named after freedom fighter Birsa Munda, the proposed stadium is going to be the most modern field hockey facility designed to host the Hockey World Cup 2023 tournament, said Patnaik
- The Stadium will be a new benchmark in global stadium design for hockey, offering one of the finest spectator experiences in the world and, with a chaired seated capacity exceeding 20,000, will become the largest Hockey Stadium in India.
Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren nod to HC bench at Dumka
- Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved the proposal related to the formation of a bench of Jharkhand High Court in Dumka district. It is to be known that apart from the main bench in Ranchi of Jharkhand High Court, no bench is functioning in any district of the State.
- Concerning the establishment of the bench of Jharkhand High Court in Dumka district, the then Chief Secretary had directed the building construction department to mark the land. Apart from this, a letter was sent by the Law Department to the Supreme Court and Union Ministry of Law and Justice regarding the jurisdiction of the bench.
Army joins hands with Pune-based foundation to provide quality education in J-K
- Through this MoU, the Army will get financial assistance for Army Goodwill Schools and Pariwar School Society.
- Indian Army's Chinar Corps on Monday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) with a Pune-based Indrani Balan Foundation to provide better education facilities to the youths of Kashmir valley.
Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurates Gender Park campus in Kozhikode
- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Gender Park campus in Kozhikode on Sunday. It is an initiative to work towards gender equality and empowerment in the state.
- The Gender Park campus is a 24-acre space that will act as a convergence centre for various projects, cultural and academic engagements.
- Headquartered in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram, with its main campus at Kozhikode, the Gender Park drives policy, research, economic and social initiatives that work for a just and equal society.
- It found standing under the Department of Social Justice and is the first space of its kind in the world. Currently working under the Department of Women and Child Development, it aims to become a premier convergence point for gender-related activities.
- The Gender Park campus is a 24-acre space that will act as a convergence centre for various projects, cultural and academic engagements. The park includes a gender museum, library, convention centre and amphitheatre.
Delhi Police receives Best Marching Contingent Trophy-2021
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh presented the trophies of best marching contingents of the Republic Day Parade 2021 in New Delhi on February 15, 2021. Jat Regimental Centre bagged the trophy of best marching contingent among the Tri-Services while Delhi Police was adjudged as the best marching contingent among the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and other auxiliary services.
- Brigadier Adarsh K Butail and Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) Virendra received the trophy on behalf of the Jat Regimental Centre and Special Commissioner of Police Robin Hibu and Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivek Bhagat, Commander received the trophy on behalf of Delhi Police. The two contingents were adjudged based on the assessment by two panels of judges.

Naman Ojha announces retirement from all forms of cricket
- Former India wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha has announced his retirement, from all formats of cricket. He made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in 2000-01. The 37-year-old from Madhya Pradesh holds the record for the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in the Ranji Trophy.
- He has also represented India in all three formats, featuring in one Test, one ODI and two T20 Internationals.

SpaceX launches 19th Starlink mission, misses booster landing
- SpaceX successfully launched 60 more Starlink satellites on February 15 as part of 19th Starlink mission but failed to land Falcon 9 rocket's reusable first-stage booster.
- SpaceX did not immediately disclose what occurred during the failed landing. Earlier, SpaceX had disclosed that its Starlink satellite internet service has "over 10,000 users in the US and abroad".

Ajay Mathur elected new DG at a special assembly of ISA
- The International Solar Alliance (ISA) has announced Dr Ajay Mathur as its new Director-General following his election at the first special assembly of ISA members. Dr Mathur replaces Mr Upendra Tripathy, who has served as Director-General since the ISA was founded in 2015.
- ISA accelerate the demand for and use of safe, sustainable, and affordable solar energy for all. It aims to mobilize over USD 1 trillion of investment into solar projects by 2030 through focused advocacy, policy and regulatory support, capacity building, and overcoming perceived investment barriers.
