Documents required while filling IBPS Application Form 2017 

Candidates must have the following documents ready before filling IBPS RRB application form.
  • Scanned images of photograph and signature as per prescribed dimension
  • Valid email ID
  • Educational certificates of Class 10/HSC, Class 12, graduation or of any other higher education.
  • Candidates must ensure that the signature is not in Capital Letters.
  • Debit/Credit card for paying the application fees online.

How to fill IBPS RRB Application Form 2017?

The application form of IBPS RRB invloves 5 parts. Candidates are required to fill all the parts carefully since application form with incomplete information will be rejected by IBPS. Candidates can check below for the step by step process to fill IBPS RRB application form.
  • Step 1– Registration by filling up Basic Information
  • Step 2 – Uploading of images – signature and photograph

Step 1: IBPS RRB 2017 Registration 

  • Candidates will have to click on ‘New Registration’ to begin the application procedure of IBPS RRB.
  • Applicants have to carefully read the information provided and click on ‘Continue’ tab to fill the application form.
  • At this stage of application procedure candidates have to fill their name, contact detail, email id to register them for IBPS RRB.
  • On submitting the required detail successful registration is indicated by the page displayed after clicking the submit button indicating the generated ‘Registration Number’ and ‘Password’. Candidates are advised to note down the same carefully and preserve it.

Step 2– Uploading of signature and photograph

The candidates at this stage will have to upload the scanned signature and photograph of required dimension.

Photograph Specification:

  • Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.
  • The picture should be in colour, taken against a light coloured, preferably white background.
  • Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
  • Size of the file should be between 20kb – 50kb
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no of colours etc. during the process of scanning.

Signature Specification-

  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink Pen.
  • The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
  • If the applicant’s signature on the answer script at the time of the examination does not match the signature on the Attendance Sheet/ Hall Ticket, the applicant will be disqualified.
  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
  • Size of the file should be between 10kb – 20kb
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb

Step 3–Uploading basic details, educational qualification, language choice and bank preferences

  1. Basic details - In this section, candidates will have to fill details such as category, religion, nationality, centre of exam, centre code, circle, state for which they are applying, information related to official language etc.
  2. Educational Qualification - Candidates have to enter the detail of their graduation and post graduation like subject studied, year of passing and percentage of marks secured in the exam.
  3. Professional Qualification & details of computer knowledge
  4. Applicants need to enter their details of work experiences in this column such as name of the employer, designation and total period of service. They are also required to enter their operating and working knoweledge in computer system which is necessary for bank exams.
  5. Languages known - Candidates need to select three languages which they can read, write and speak from the drop down menu.
  6. Bank preferences & Posts - At this stage of IBPS RRB Application Form 2017 candidates have to select the post Officers Scale I, II, III and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Candidates should enter choice of banks from the drop down menu.
  7. Candidates after validating all the details should click ‘Save and Next’ button for the moving to preview tab.

Step 4: Preview of IBPS RRB Application Form 

Candidates before final submission should preview the application form to ensure all the details entered are correct. No changes in the application form will be entertained after final submission. 

Step 5– Fee Payment

The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/Master Card/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

After successful payment of fee a confirmation page will be generated. Candidates are advised to take the printout of ‘IBPS RRB Confirmation Page’. They should not send the confirmation page to examination authority. Candidates are advised to preserve the following documents for future references.

Important instructions related to IBPS RRB application form 2017

  • Candidates interested in applying for IBPS RRB recruitment 2017 can apply for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and also for the post of Officer. However, they can apply for only one post in Officer’s Cadre i.e either Officers Scale I or Scale II or Scale III.
  • Applicants have to apply and pay application fees separately for each post.
  • The IBPS RRB application form 2017 will be available online only.
  • The registration number and password must be retained by candidates till the recruitment process os over since they will require the credentials while downloading the admit card and result.
  • Candidates are advised to fill IBPS RRB application form carefully since no changes in the details will be entertained after final submission.

Ques: What to do if I do not receive confirmation related to registration no and password? Ans: The registration number and password will be sent to candidates email ID & mobile number. They should check the same for registration number and password.
Ques: Can I apply for more than one post? Ans: Candidates can apply for the post of Officers cadre and Office Assistant. However, Candidates should apply for only one post i.e. Scale-I, II and III. The applications of candidates applying for more than one post in Officers’ cadre will be summarily rejected.
Ques: Can I make changes in the details entered in application form of IBPS RRB? Ans: Candidates before submitting their application form should verify all the details in the application form and make changes if any. No change will be entertained after final submission. The facility to edit the application form will be available for only three times.
Ques: What if I am unable to pay application fees? Ans: If the online transaction has not been successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fees.
Ques: What if I submit more than one IBPS RRB application form? Ans: Not more than one application for any cadre Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officers Scale I, II & III should be submittedby any candidate. In case of multiple Applications, only the latest completed application will be accepted.
Ques: Can I withdrawn online application form? Ans: Online applications once registered will not be allowed to be withdrawn.
Ques: How to exercise preferences of banks in IBPS RRB application form 2017? Ans: Candidates applying for the post of Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant, names of RRBs for giving the order of preference will be available based on the state which they select to apply. They will have to select center of examination in that state only.

IBPS RRB 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • The IBPS RRB 2017 Eligibility Criteria are the set of norms in terms of age, academic qualification and nationality which the candidates will have to fulfill to be eligible for the recruitment process. The required eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB has been provided below.
  • Nationality: A candidate must be citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika & Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age limit and academic qualification:

For Officer Scale- III Age: Above 21 years – Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than September 3, 1976 and later than August 31, 1995 (both dates inclusive)
Qualification – Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
For Officer Scale- II (General banking Officer) Age: Above 21 years – Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than September 3, 1984 and later than August 31, 1995 (both dates inclusive)
Qualification – Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
For Officer Scale- II- (Specialist Officer) Age: Above 21 years – Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than September 3, 1984 and later than August 31, 1995 (both dates inclusive)
Qualification: Information Technology Officer Degree from a recognised University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Chartered Accountant Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
For Officer Scale- I- Age: Above 18 years – Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than September 3, 1986 and later than August 31, 1998 (both dates inclusive)
Qulification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisci culture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Age: Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than September 2, 1988 and later than September 1, 1998 (both dates inclusive)
Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
