NICL AO Prelims Exam Pattern
Before propelling the Individual Section let’s first confer the exam pattern of NICL Administrative Officer for prelims to have a fair estimate of the questions, marks & timings need to be take care for the exam.

Time Allotment for Each Section:
Though time division are crucial factors for every exam. Sectional Timings is an Important aspect to be kept in mind while attempting the exam as it will help you in attempting more questions to clear sectional as well as overall cut off. Following is the sectional timing allotted for each section:

Sectional Strategy for NICL AO Prelims 2017 Exam
English Language:
Total 30 Questions will be asked from this section with a of 30 maximum marks. Each Question will contain equal marks. Attempt these questions within a time limit of 15 minutes & do not exceed the time as it will decrease the time limit for other section.
To Score more in this section try to attempt the following topics first:
- Error spotting
- Fillers
- Cloze Test
- Antonyms/Synonyms from the RC
Reasoning Ability:
This section comprises of 35 Questions with equal marking. Avoid attempting puzzles first as they may shift your time more than to attempt any other topic in this section. Try to attempt the following topics first to count more in this section. Also, do not exceed the time limit as it will deviate you from clearing sectional cut off.
- Inequality
- Syllogism
- Coding-decoding
- Miscellaneous questions of ranking, direction and blood relation.
Quantitative Aptitude:
This section again composes of 35 questions with an equal marks distribution. This section requires shortcuts to attempt more question within a less period of time. So, choose questions wisely so that you are able to make the best out of it. Following are the scoring & time saving topics to be attempted first:
- Simplification / Approximation
- Number Series
- Quadratic Equation
- Miscellaneous topics (Percentage, Alligation & Mixture, Partnership, Profit & Loss, etc.)
Important Tips to remember for NICL AO 2017 Exam:
- Time Management is the decisive part of the exam. As it is the only factor which helps you to attempt more questions & score more in the exam.
- Don’t Try to solve each & every question & if gets stuck in any question leave it there itself to save time & move on to the next question because every mark is valuable.
- Do not get frenzy if the pattern of the exam comes unexpected than to your expectations. Read the questions attempt confidently, you will be able to make it.
- Read the questions carefully so that you won’t miss out any point & remember don’t go with the guess work, as it can earn you a negative mark.
- Maintain your Speed & Accuracy to clear the overall as well as the sectional cut off for the exam. Use shortcuts & tricks to save your time & increase your attempts.
- Do not forget to take your admit card, original valid ID proof as well as photocopy of this ID proof and a photograph (same as that on the admit card) along with you.
