RBI has released notification for Grade B Officer 2018 few days ago. So we've now updated the details about RBI Grade B Officer 2018 Syllabus & Exam Pattern (Prelims + Mains) based on official notification. The exam pattern of RBI Grade B Prelims will be provided along with the information handout which will be available on the official website in some time. The pattern is expected to remain same for Prelims exam as that of last year. The syllabus of RBI Grade B Officer (General) has also been updated in this post.

RBI Grade B Officer Interview (Phase III)

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate marks obtained in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III of Phase II exam. Interview will carry 50 marks.

General Awareness Syllabus for RBI Grade B

Overall level of this section is expected to be Easy to Moderate . 
 It is one of the scoring section of the exam. Total 80 questions will be asked from this section. The questions can be asked from different topics which are mentioned below-

  • (i) Banking & Financial + Economic News– Banking Terminology, Recent RBI News like – Monetary policies, Important guidelines, Financial & Economics News, Economics terms, etc.
  • (ii) Current Affairs – National + International News, Sports News, Awards, Summits & Conferences, Schemes, Agreement & Deals, etc.
  • (iii) Static GK – Parks, Dam, Thermal Power Plants, Mountains, Temples, Stadiums, Airports, etc.

English Language for RBI Grade B

Overall level of this section is expected to be Moderate. 
The questions in this section can be asked from different topics which are mentioned below-

  • (i) Reading Comprehension – 10 Questions (Lengthy) will based on Economy 
  • (ii) Cloze Test  – 10 Questions (Moderate) 
  • (iii) Parajumbles (7 statements)– 5 Questions (Moderate)
  • (iv) Spotting Error – 5 Questions  (Moderate) 

Quantitative Aptitude Study Material for RBI Grade B Officer

Overall level of this section is expected to be Difficult. 
The questions in this section can be asked from different topics which are mentioned below

  • (i)  Number Series – (Moderate to Tough)
  • (ii)  Data Interpretation – includes - Missing DI, Pie Chart Caselet DI , Mix DI - (Tough)
  • (iii) Quadratic Equation - (Moderate to Tough)
  • (iv)  Miscellaneous Questions –  (Tough)
