SSC CGL Tier-II Exam Analysis 21 Feb 2018: Section Wise

Quant Section: In SSC CGL Tier-II Exam, Quantitative Aptitude was of Difficult Level
  • Due to the re-exam/ new paper, candidates got nervous & found SSC CGL Quant Paper difficult & time-consuming.
  • Data Interpretation & Quadratic equation (based on roots) were among the most difficult topics.
  • Geometry was moderate but calculative.
  • Co-ordinate Geometry was not found in today's paper.
  • Mensuration topic contained questions on Pyramid. These questions were calculative & time-consuming.
  • The questions were mixed up & randomly arranged. There was not a series of questions on a single topic.
  • Advance Maths was more difficult than Arithmetic Maths.
  • There were 5 tabular questions from Data Interpretation topic. The questions were based on absent percentage of students in a class. 
              English Section :
              • Five out of Six Reading Comprehension questions were found to be doable.
              • Four out of Five Cloze test were easy.
              • Questions were randomly asked in the exam. The paper consisted of mixed questions on the different topics.
              • Some of the Voacb questions were repeated from Previous Year exams.

                Quant Questions Asked in SSC CGL Tier II 21 Feb 2018

                1. (a+b)2=3(a+b) find a: b
                2. If there is a successive discount of 25% and 25% on an article. What will be the new discount rate?
                3. One question was related to Compound Interest where 3 years & 4 years C.I was given and candidates had to find the rate percentage.

                4. If A, B & C can do a piece of work in 12 Days. C alone can do that work in 36 Days. In how many days will A and B complete the same amount of work together?
                5. One question was related to Pyramid. The height of Pyramid was 21 m. It was a square base pyramid where the side of the square was 12 m. The Pyramid was cut twice from the base at the height of 7m & 14 m, candidates had to find the difference between the volume of the topmost & bottom part.
                6. A circular park of radius 21 cm has a outer side path of 3.5 cm. Find the area of the path.
                7. Base of a prism in a equilateral triangle having perimeter 18 cm. If the height of the prism is 20 cm, then finds its volume?
                8. Equilateral discount of two successive discount of 25% is ?
