Today is the first day and first paper of SSC CGL Tier-II Exam. The Exam will be conducted by SSC from 17th February to 22nd February 2018. SSC CGL Tier-II Exam Timing:
17.02.2018 To 21.02.2018:-- Paper-I 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM &
- Paper-II 03:15 PM to 5:15 PM
- Paper-III -10:30 AM to 12:30 PM &
- Paper-IV - 03:15 PM to 5:15 PM
SSC CGL Tier II : English Exam Highlights
Questions were randomly asked in the exam. The paper consisted of mixed questions on the different topics.
- The overall level of English Paper II was Easy-Moderate.
- Questions on Reading Comprehension were easy to solve. There were 5 sets of comprehension including 5 questions each.
- Candidates who appeared for the exam found Vocab section difficult.
- Some of the Synonyms/ Antonyms & One-word substitution asked in the exam are Guzzle, Vista, Swindle, Hound, Embargo, Taxidermy etc.
- 10-12 Idiom & Phrases were asked in the exam. Eg: based on the "whirl"

In SSC CGL Tier-II Exam, English language section was of easy to moderate level and give a relief to the CGL aspirants to overcome the shock of Quant section. Some questions were lengthy in sentence rearrangement. If we talk about reading comprehension, 3 RC's are of easy level but 2 RC contains lengthy questions.
