Direction (Q. 1-5): Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below.
Following are the conditions for selecting Senior Manager (Marketing) in an organisation:
The candidate must
  • (i) be at least 35 years old as on 1.2.2012.
  • (ii) have scored minimum 55% marks in graduation.
  • (iii) have scored at least 60% marks in postgraduate degree/diploma in Marketing Management.
  • (iv) have post-qualification work experience of at least 10 years in the marketing division of an organisation.
  • (v) have secured at least 50% marks in the selection process.


In the case of a candidate who satisfies all the above conditions except
(A)(iv) above, but has post-qualification work experience of at least 6 years as Manager-Marketing, the case is to be referred to Head-Marketing Division.
(B)(ii) above, but has scored at least 65% marks in post-graduate degree/diploma in Marketing Management, the case is to be referred to GM-Marketing.

In each question below are given the details of one candidate. You have to take one of the following courses of action based on the information provided and the conditions and sub-conditions given above and mark the number of that course of action as your answer. You are not to assume anything other than the information provided in each question.
All these cases are given to you as on 01-02-2012.

1. Smriti Sharma was born on 14 April 1975. She has been working in the marketing division of an organisation for the past fourteen years after completing her postgraduate diploma in Marketing Management with 70% marks. She scored 50% marks in the selection process and 52% in graduation.

2. Sanjay Singh was born on 15th June 1976. He has scored 55% marks in the selection process and 50% marks in graduation. He has been working in the marketing division of an organisation for the past thirteen years after completing postgraduate degree in Marketing Management with 75% marks.

3. Ankit Saxena has scored 65% marks in PG degree in Marketing Management and 57% marks in graduation. He has been working in the marketing division of an organisation for the past eleven years after completing his postgraduate degree. He has scored 55% marks in the selection process and he was born on 12 July 1972.

4. Prem Singh has secured 58% marks in graduation. His date of birth is 24th May 1976. He has been working in the marketing division of an organisation for the past seven years as Manager Marketing after completing postgraduate degree in Marketing Management with 65% marks. He has scored 50% marks in the selection process.

5. Mitali has been working for the past seven years, out of which six years as Manager-Marketing in an organisation after completing his postgraduate degree in Marketing Management with 62% marks. She has scored 58% marks in graduation and 52% marks in the selection process. She was born on 14th February 1974

Direction (Q. 6-10): Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below.
Following are the conditions for selecting a finance manager for a multinational company.
The candidate must
  • A.be at least of 21 years and not more than 35 years as on 01-04-2012.
  • B.have work experience of at least 5 years as Finance Officer/Manager.
  • C.be a postgraduate in Finance.
  • D.be fluent in English.

In the case of a candidate who fulfill all the conditions except
(i)(A), but has work experience as Finance Officer/Manager for at least 10 years, his/her case is referred to the Director (Finance) for consideration.
(ii)(B), but has obtained PhD in Financial Management, his/her case may be referred to the Managing Director for consideration.
You are given the following cases as on 1-04-2012.

In each of the questions given below, the detailed information of one candidate is given. You have to take one of the following courses of action based on the information provided in each case and the conditions and sub-conditions given above. 7. Nisha Arora was born on 18 April 1977. She has not obtained postgraduate degree but has a vast experience in finance sector. She has been working as a Finance Officer for the past 7 years. She has a good command over Hindi and English.

8. Omprakash is a postgraduate in Finance. His date of Birth is 24 June 1978. He has done PhD in Financial Management. Besides Hindi, he has a good command over English and other regional languages. He has no work experience.

9. Jitendra Chaudhry is a doctorate in Financial Management. His date of birth is May 15, 1980. He has a good command over Hindi and English. He is also a postgraduate in Finance.

10. Vivek Singh was born on 1 October 1977. He has passed the postgraduate examination in Finance. He belongs to the Hindi belt and doesn’t have a command over English. He has been working as a Finance Officer for the last eight years.
