1. (d) I, II and III
BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) nations on 4 September 2017 signed four documents that aim at improving and broadening cooperation mechanism and promoting industrial and technical upgradation to enhance economic complemetarties. These documents were signed during the summit on Action Agenda on Economic and Trade Cooperation, Innovation, Customs Cooperation and MOU with Development Bank on Strategic Cooperation. 

2. (d) I, II and III
To make sure that malnutrition (Kuposhan) bids a good bye to India, NITI Aayog on 5 September 2017 launched the National Nutrition Strategy aimed at Kuposhan Mukt Bharat. The strategy intends at bringing nutrition to the centre-stage of the National Development Agenda. The strategy was launched jointly by the leader of the Green Revolution, Dr M S Swaminathan, Padma Shri H Sudarshan and Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Dr Rajiv Kumar and Member Dr. Vinod Paul in New Delhi.

With an aim to create new jobs by enhancing India’s export, the NITI Aayog on 5 September 2017 constituted an Expert Task Force. The task force will be chaired by the NITI Aayog Vice Chairman, Dr. Rajiv Kumar.

The Cell for IPR Promotions and Management (CIPAM) on 4 September 2017 launched a social media campaign to promote Indian Geographical Indications (GIs). The campaign will be promoted with #LetsTalkIP which is an ongoing movement initiated by CIPAM to make more people aware about the importance of Intellectual Property Rights. According to a study, one of the biodiversity-rich uninhabited islands part of Lakshadweep has vanished due to coastal erosion and another four such territories in the sea are shrinking fast. The island, Parali I, part of Bangaram atoll, which was 0.032 km in 1968 has been eroded to an extent of 100 per cent, resulting in its complete disappearance.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) was on 4 September 2017 honoured by Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh for successfully resolving public grievances.The CBDT was honoured for resolving grievances in the third category of the government departments getting more than 2,000 grievances during a quarter. The  body is the apex policy making body for the Income Tax department.

Kenya's high court recently approved a law that is considered the toughest ban on plastic bags in the world, with penalties up to four years in prison and $40000 in fines for using them. The laws are primarily aimed at plastic bag manufacturers but police will be allowed to go after individuals for using plastic bags, including plastic trash bags.

The Energy Efficiency Services Limited ( EESL), under Union Ministry of Power, launched UJALA (Unnat Jyoti by Affordable Lighting for All) Scheme on 6 September 2017 in Melaka, Malaysia. Under the scheme, each household in Melaka will get 10 high quality 9-watt LED bulbs at a cost of only 10 Malaysian ringgit (RM), which is a special price.

India refused to sign a global declaration adopted at an international conclave as it referred to the violence against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar’s Rakhine state. Current chief coach of Indian Senior Women Hockey Team, Waltherus Norbertus Maria Marijne, was today named chief coach of the Indian Senior Men Hockey Team. Marijne replaced Roelant Oltmans, who was sacked after a few ordinary performances by the senior men's side in the past few months.
