There are 3 Sections in UIIC Assistant Prelims Exam 2017 - English Language, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. 60 minutes time limit was given for a total 100 questions.

Over-all Exam Analysis UIIC Assistant Prelims 2017
The level of 4th slot was a bit tough as compared to the previous slots. On the whole, the overall exam was easy to moderate and consequently, most of the candidates were able to attempt a good number of questions in today's exam. This exam threw no surprises or new pattern question introduced in UIIC Assistant exam.

The level of this section was Easy-Moderate.- DI: A Tabular DI was asked in the exam. In 4th slot, the DI was based on topic of number of months.
- Missing number series were asked. 3 Questions were bit tricky.Mostly were based on concepts of Difference and double difference.
- Miscellaneous questions - The topics asked were Ratio and Proportion, average, Mixture and allegation, Partnership, SI and CI Time & work etc.

EXAM ANALYSIS - REASONING ABILITY
The level of reasoning was Easy - Moderate.
- Floor Based Puzzle: 8 persons and 8 Floors
- Circular seating arrangement: 8 persons. In this, all persons were facing towards the centre.
- Direct Inequality based questions were asked.
- Old pattern syllogism questions were asked, based on the Basic concept of syllogism.
- A sequence of alphabets was given and candidates were required to find the next sequence based on some particular pattern

- There were no questions of new pattern.
- Reading Comprehension - Based on Priest and Temple bell (story)., All the answers were easily detectable in the passage.There were 4 questions of Antonyms-synonyms and all were easy.
- Error Spotting : Questions were based on Prepositional error, subject-verb agreement and tense based error.
