Uttar Pradesh SI Police - Syllabus & Exam Pattern

Uttar Pradesh (UP) Police has announced notification for UP Police Sub Inspector for a total vacancy of 3307 posts. This Exam was supposed to be conducted in 2016 but It will is going to be conducted in July 2017. Here we are sharing the detailed syllabus, exam pattern & Selection process required for the post of UP Police Sub Inspector The Online exam is scheduled from 17th July to 31st July Candidates are advised to prepare for the exam as per the given syllabus. Uttar Pradesh SI Police - Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The UP Police SI exam is an objective test of 400 marks with a time duration of 2 hours (120 minutes) The exam pattern consists of four different subjects as given below:

This online test will consist of total 160 questions where each question will carry a weightage of 25 marks
There is no negative marking for any wrong answer
The test will be available in both Hindi and English language except General Hindi part

UP Police SI Selection Process - 2017

Selection of the candidates will be based on three major tests - Physical Standard test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & written examination The Selection Procedure of UP Police SI starts with the written test and is followed by the Physical standard test (PST) and Physical Efficiency test (PET)
  • Physical Standard Test (PST):

ST 160 cms 77-82 cms
Female Gen/OBC/SC 152 cms N/A
ST 147 cms N/A

Note: Minimum 40 kg weight is required for Female Candidates.
Minimum 5 cms expansion of chest is necessary for Male Candidates only.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This test is only for qualified candidates in Documentation & PST There will be a race in this test of qualifying nature
Race:
Male: 4.8 km in 28 minute.
Female: 2.4 km in 16 minutes.
